I liked the hotel. The location was good (right across from the Mall). The pool was excellent as was the food we enjoyed (burger & fries). The gin and tonics were EXCELLENT. What I didn't like about the hotel is that when you left the room the electricity turned off. That meant, if you left your cell phone to charge - it didn't charge. That also meant the AC turned off and you always returned to a hot stuffy room.
One other thing. Our check in took FOREVER and I accidently left my photos/videos on the front desk. We were there for 24 hours and they never bothered to let me know I left my items on the front desk counter. I didn't catch it until the next day AFTER we checked out. Our guide was nice enough to call the hotel and figure out I had left them there. Our other guide was nice enough to go by and pick them up. Was rather disappointed that the hotel didn't return the items. FYI, my friend and I were in 10 physical photos, so it wouldn't have been hard to figure out who we were.
For international travelers advice, There have no English speaking staffs, It no easy to communicate.
Facility clean but not updated , no USB for phone charge ,you have to bring 110 v adapter from 220 v outlet. Taxi to airport are convenient in front of door .
We had originally booked a hotel in Argentina with Hotels.com which we found out was closed when we arrived at the abandoned hotel. 😡. So, we scrambled to find a hotel for New Year’s Eve. When we arrived at the hotel, they upgraded our room. The breakfast was fantastic which included fresh seasonal fruits. The hotel was located across the street from a mall. The mall had the best food court I’ve ever been to and the prices were 1/3 of the food in Argentina. The mall also had a huge grocery store. The pool area was lovely. The restaurant in the hotel was great and not overly expensive. The hotel had a New Year’s Eve party but unfortunately due to our late booking, no tickets were available. But the hotel directed us to the downtown area which was about a mile from the hotel which had some amazing steak houses which again were a fraction of the meals in Argentina. The staff was friendly and helpful. Our out of business hotel in Argentina was a blessing in disguise because we would never had stayed here. It was my favorite hotel out of the five hotels we stayed in during our two week visit. Crossing the border can be a little time consuming but we had no issues. This would be my first choice on my next visit.
We had such a great stay at JL! You can’t go wrong booking here. The room and grounds were clean, I felt very safe, there is a shopping mall and grocery store nearby. The restaurant was very good. We had dinner, but the breakfast buffet also looked delicious with lots of choices!
Clean room. very good buffet breakfast. convenient location. Nice mall across the street. Approx 25 minute drive to Foz (Falls). We prefer a less firm bed than the hotel has but still slept comfortably. Single pane windows allowed outside noise. (We were on street side on 8th floor) Air conditioner was efficient but occasionally a bit noisy. Secure parking (some still are clueless oh how to properly park) Last day/night of stay the hotel wifi had no internet connection. If international, be sure to bring adapters for Brazil recessed receptacles. No ice machines available to guests. Only by request.

The hotel was convenient and clean. The big problem is all the noise you hear inside your room from all the traffic and music outside. We had two rooms that were adjoining and had the hotel come to the room to “so called” shut the windows tightly. This did not help at all. All night long you hear horns, loud cars, music from cars etc. We would never stay here again due to not being able to sleep.
Perfect hotel for visiting Iguazu Falls. The hotel is modern and exceptionally clean, and the staff was extremely friendly. The hotel has is an affordable garage underneath if needed. The food in the restaurant is good and there's also a grocery store across the street in the shopping mall.
The property was clean and tidy and it is well situated.
For an international hotel in a peak tourist area I am surprised that majority of the staff ONLY speak Portuguese. I speak Spanish and English and almost no Portuguese. I appreciate that the hotel is located in Brazil; however given it is located in a peak tourist area it is not really good enough.
I ordered room service one night and requested a bottle opener to open some beer I’d bought. The staff in the restaurant said “yes”, but the room service attendant didn’t bring one. When I friend to explain he didn’t speak anything other than Portuguese. He went down to reception / the restaurant and told them what happened. They called my room, but again the person calling only spoke Portuguese. She then hung up on me when I didn’t understand her. They then called back at which point I refused to answer as there was no point in trying to talk over the phone, as I had expressed my desire to do this the day before.
The hotel would benefit greatly from having staff trained to speak more than one language, especially in a peak tourist area so close to the Argentine boarder (where they speak Spanish!)
On my last day they turned off access to my room before check out time. I discovered this by trying to open my room with my key which did not work. I then had to return to reception and try to explain that they had locked me out and my stuff was still inside my room.
Overall not a fantastic experience which is a shame.
Exceptional breakfast, clean hotel, not so friendly staff. The room was big with a fridge. The staff could do with some customer care training, especially in the dining area. In the 3 days I was there, the 2 staff continually chatted with each other.
