I’ve usually had good experiences at Toyoko inn chain but was disappointed with my experience here. Reception service was brusque, they did not honor my membership card to get early check in even though every other hotel branch has, their excuse was that I hadn’t booked through their website, which was not one of the stipulated conditions. The location of the hope is very close to the station, which is a plus but the service at the hotel was a let down.

Great breakfast but room stay wasn't great

Least fav hotel to stay during our trip. Mattress was like sleeping on the floor - had really bad back because of this. Weird - hotel room door opens out, use of paper cups for everything, even in bathroom. Great they provide breakfast although the amount of sterofoam, disposable cups, cutlery used. Great to be able to adjust heating.

Located within 5mins to Hakata Station, quiet clean rooms, strong hot showers, nice complimentary buffet breakfast. Highly recommended.

This Toyoko inn’s Breakfast was the best breakfast on all other Toyoko inn I stayed. I stayed Toyoko inn Hakata, Kamata, Hiroshima and Toyama.

It's OK but no western breakfast options.

The room was OK, small size but enough for what it's used. We didn't have any problems and the staff were helpful. The bed was too firm, as it tends to be the case in most places in Japan. For breakfast there wasn't any western option, it was all rice, noodles, meat, etc. I understand that this is how they eat breakfast in Japan and I don't mind eating some of it but given that hotels are for tourists, it would be good to have 1 or 2 cereal and some pastries at least. There are 2 hotels with the same name very close to each other so it may make it a bit confusing.
