The apartment was in a very central location, only a few moments away from the main shopping mall in Funchal, and coffee shop almost on the doorstep. There was a kitchenette, washing machine and ironing board provided, and all useful utensils provided (even sachets of oil for using the frying pan). Check in was simple with the use of door codes. We had quick responses via WhatsApp from the company and all our questions were answered. Our flight to Madeira was diverted and we ended up having to take a ferry from Porto Santo. This was no issue and we could easily access the apartment when we finally arrived in Madeira at 01:00am. We also received a full refund from An Island Apart for the pre-booked taxi service from the airport after our flight diverted and plans changed. The apartment was great for what we needed and the whole experience was pleasant and easy.

top Lage Kontaktloser Check-in und -out schön eingerichtete Wohnung riesige Fenster sauber bequemes Bett tolle riesige Dusche Waschmaschine, Waschpulver, Bügeleisen und -brett vorhanden Apt. 2 nach hinten raus, ruhig, bis auf Nachbarn (Fenster nicht dicht) voll ausgestattete Küche schnelle Reaktion bei Fragen per WhatsApp -billiges Geschirr/ Besteck -Sofa als Sitzgelegenheit nahezu nicht mehr nutzbar, da es total durchgesessen und damit unbequem ist -Kühlschrank kommt einem entgegen, wenn man die Tür öffnet. -Abflussmotten im Badezimmer -keine Bedienungsanleitung für die Klingelanlage, konnte deshalb nicht stummgeschaltet werden und morgens und nachts wird geklingelt -über Buchungsseite eine Standardnachricht, keine Antwort auf meine Frage, ob ich früher ins Zimmer kann -kein Hinweis, dass es zwar keine Rezeption gibt, aber nur 150m von der Rua Ivens 4A entfernt eine Gepäckaufbewahrung -unpersönlich: keine Hinweise auf Dinge/ Tipps in Funchal/ auf Madeira, nur Hinweise, welche Dinge man bei AIA buchen kann und das waren nicht viele, dafür teure Touren/ Transport

The accommodation itself is very modern and centrally located. It looks like in the pictures. Unfortunately, I have to criticize the communication very much. We have informed in time when we land. We have received a phone number, which we should contact as soon as we land because of the suitcases. Unfortunately, no one was available there and also was not answered to our message. After a long wait and attempts to call the central office, we were told where we could place the suitcases. In addition, the information in the mail was not correct. Floor and house number were wrong. We had to play detective. The bed decoration had stains and there is no air conditioning. In the evening you are expected by a heat wave in the room. But the accommodation itself is good for the overnight stay.
