Steer clear from residents inn in Galveston

The room was filthy there was a dirty towel on the shower curtain when I got there also a pair of shoes that the last guest left so I know the maid didn’t clean it before I got there I was there 10 days and housekeeper never showed up once repeatedly asked to have room cleaned the answer was always tomorrow I have now idea how hotels.com can give this awful place 3 stars also it’s called residents inn now it used to be a roadway inn that explains it all if I knew that I would have never booked it

Check in was very speedy, but the condition of the hotel grounds was not good. When I got on my bed, I felt a lump. Pulling back the blanket revealed a lighter. Pulling the blanket back further, there were stains and what appeared to be pieces of popcorn. With no other ground floor rooms available, we cancelled our stay and went to another location.

When we got there the guy at the door was nice, but that was the best part lol no but fr. The room we had we basically had to force the door open because it was messed up like someone kicked it in, there were loose screws in multiple spots around the room like half screwed into the wall or not screwed in at all, the refrigerator wasnt plugged in and still had the sale sticker on it, and i had to fix the tv myself because it didnt work at first. It had 2 remotes 1 was missing the back and the universal remote wasnt programmed to the tv. The pool was the upside. It was descent but next to the pool there was a dog in a room that barked at people passing and there were 2 bottles filled with old cigarette buds sitting outside the room. Not to mention multiple people in the hotel were smoking Marijuana inside and outside there room bc the smell was so strong. Its sad when the best thing in your hotel room is the vanity mirror where you wash your hands at. But you get what you pay for and it was descently close to the beach.

The room was good,although they had stained box springs, rusted doors, warped floors, the building is surrounded by mess,broken down vehicles, and trash. But It was quiet and the restroom was clean.

Room was cleaned poorly door jamb was broken in. Was missing a fridge in my first room sheets Had black marks on them tile was falling off in the bathroom and the corners of the room had a lot of dirt in them

I stayed 3 nights with family. Bedsheet was dirty (spot and sands).I asked them to change, again it had sands on it. There was no cloth hangers, toilet had no basin. I requested them to clean the room, they never sent anyone, asked for extra pillow twice, they didn't bring though they didn't refuse. People were smoking on the corridor thought facility says, non-smoking. There were trash bags, dirty staffs here and there. Appearance of the other people in neighboring room was not pleasant, it seemed no good quality people come to stay here. There was no security of the parked vehicles, location is not good. Even when you come out on the road from the hotel, always need to take right turn (vehicle), can't pass lane easily since the road is always busy.

Don’t come here.

This place is trash. Toilet from room above leaked into our bathroom. Floors not swept.wall in bathroom in need of serious repair. The fixtures are beat and worn. On the positive side the small refrigerator worked.

I waited 30 minutes for the service rep to just walk-through a door. Once I was checked in he told be to be sure and lock my door and hide anything I'd loke to keep.. While getting into the room, the door was half way broke off of the hinges. The TV was not much bigger than a iPad. The bed had stains of it (white and red), the curtains did not close so everyone walking by could just look into my room at all hours. Other resident's were yelling all night and the police were there for many unknown reasons throughout the night and early morning. Very rough around the edges.

Worst hotel experience ever. So bad. Do yourself a favor and check the photo reviews before booking. So bad. We legit bought new bedsheets to make up for it. Couldn't get past the yuck so ate shower curtains and settled for sponge baths

Our room had fried chicken crumbs on the floor, pills on the floor, not a single towel or soap, smelled horrible, tub filthy with pubic hair and stains. Almost empty roll of toilet paper. When i tracked down housekeeping and told them all this, i was told he already cleaned the room that morning so nothing wrong with it and towels are beinv washed. I would have to go to the lobby later that evening to get them. We checked in after 3. We searched for other hotels, but being memorial weekend there was nothing available. We were stuck there. We had 4 rooms booked. The website was nothing like real life. I will probably mot use hotels.com again. I will drive 780 miles to get a nasty room in a place i dont know. Never again. The other 3 rooms were worse than ours. One literally had no toilet paper. One had no faucet on the shower. Angry.

The hotel was sketchy my wife was outside and someone walkee up to her and ask her if she had drugs that was scary and it seems like there is alot of that going on there. Very uncomfortable but nice pool
