I was really impressed with the hotel! The facilities are modern and stylish. The gym was very impressive and the spa area outdoors. I had a pod room, which was small but that doesn’t bother me. It was clean and well presented. I would definitely return if staying in Galway again.

Brilliant place to stay!

Fabulous stay. Absolutely enjoyed our stay. The outdoor heated pool / jacuzzi, steam room, sauna were a nice treat. The room was very cool. I can’t wait to go back. Hopefully for longer next time.

The hotel itself looks lovely and has great facilities. But the rooms are small (even the superior rooms lack space for your bags) and we kept stubbing our toe on the bed while trying to squeeze between the wall and the bed. The bed itself was two singles pushed together with a saggy foam layer on top. The bathroom was nicely decorated, but we were disappointed that the shower soap dispenser was left empty during our 2 day stay, and we were given a comically small towel on the second night. Facilities at the hotel were lovely, particularly the gym and the outdoor pool/jacuzzi. Definitely 5 stars for both of these. Overall, service at The Dean lacked warmth (which is unusual in Ireland), and didn't really align with expectations or the cost charged.
