2 day stay in Falway

Condition of hotel was so-so. Hallway carpets are worn. Room carpets were stained and should be replaced. Rooms were small considering it is a small city and the cost. It is an older hotel with character but could use some refreshing. Toilet did not work when we arrived but was fixed within an hour or so. Service was fine

Clean rooms and polite staff. Parking is very convenient. Breakfast is great, and you are within walking distance of great spots for lunch, dinner and shopping.

Loved the Hotel. Great staff. Restored older property. Quaint. Location was within easy walking distance of most areas, but without super congestion. Fabulous breakfast. Parking was a plus. Only minus was that our room had no air conditioning.

We had a great stay at the Western Hotel! The room was comfortable and surprisingly spacious for the price. It’s about a 10-minute walk to the city center, which was perfect—close enough to everything but still quiet at night. Breakfast had a solid variety of options, and every staff member we interacted with was warm and helpful. Would definitely stay again!

Easy to find the property and parking was very easy. From the directions, it sounded like parking was down the road. We were pleasantly surprised parking was really just under the building and there was an elevator right up into the hotel! We really enjoyed the music in the bar in the evenings! Wish food was available a bit later, but we understand that is rare. We were surprised the room did not have a refrigerator. It was a bit of an inconvenience but not major.

Excellent stay! Recommend!

Excellent stay - would recommend to anyone. Hotel was nicely decorated, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent - buffet of cold options and hot breakfast choice cooked to order. Food was delicious. Parking is very limited, had to double park cars but attendant responded promptly to move them and it wasn’t an issue. We easily walked into Eyre Square, Latin Quarter etc and back. We stayed a second night in Galway later in our trip pre booked at a different hotel - wish we had come back to the Western.

Our stay at The Western was incredible! The location was perfect for walking around, shopping, and exploring Galway. Our room was clean and the front desk staff was super friendly and helpful with answering our questions and offering suggestions. We would definitely recommend!!
