Staff were excellent & went out of their way to help, the hotel was a bit Fawlty towers, very dated. Air con units outside were too noisy to leave window open on one of the hotest nights of the year. We new the room would be small but it was very stuffy over night. Breakfast was average, coffee & juice undrinkable.

All good except chaotic breakfast as not enough staff - those there tried to help but were obviously stressed as couldn’t get food out of kitchen to feed everyone - guests fighting over food so we sat back and waited an hour to be fed

The room was fairly clean, the bed and pillows were comfortable. The hotel is in a very convenient location, with just a short walk from the Railway station and also a good walking distance along the canal to the Falkirk wheel. Breakfast did leave quite a bit to be desired. Again, it was acceptable. Only tour groups seem to have croisants, bagels or bread rolls, otherwise there is only sliced bread, for jams and making toast for beans and scrambled eggs etc. There weren't any cold meats or cheeses either and I didn't see fresh fruit every morning. If you want a big fry up with tinned tomatoes and haggis you will be in luck. It's not all negative. I did book 2 extra nighs and I would stay there again. It was OK for the price

Good Hotel and lovely staff. Room was cleaned well. Only thing that that the room lacked was a mini fridge to keep our drinks coll. Overall would recommend this hotel and the food was excellent with great friendly staff.

Hot breakfast food was cold. Dinner menu was boring & bland. Fire alarm rang Friday evening at 21.30. We were on 3rd floor. Evacuated quickly only to be told false alarm but it shrieked loudly for a long time. Deafening in the bedroom! Saturday at 06.30 it went again. Shocked awake, quickly dressed & evacuated room but stopped within 5 minutes so returned to room but I feel like my hearing has been damaged. I was completely deaf for at least an hour and have been suffering with partial hearing loss for the whole day. I may need to see my GP if this continues. The decibel level was extremely high!! Overall the experience was not what I would have expected. Management didn't seem interested in my concern.

Good location close to bus and trains. room was very clean, Food in the onsite restaraunt was very good - dinner and breakfast. The onsite WIFI needs an upgrade as connection was spotty and not even password protected. As I was travelling for work I could not connnect any work devices to this network due to lack of basic security measures.
