About this property
Entire place
You'll have the entire cabin to yourself and will only share it with other guests in your party.
Secluded, cozy and romantic, the Overlook is the perfect glamping getaway.
Tucked in the southwest corner of the Ozarks and sitting just above the Osage Creek, the Overlook at Sycamore Ridge is an over-the-top, off-grid glamping site for two.
The design feels collected with a touch of whimsy and is meant to honor the people who settled this land before us. True 2x4s were milled at a local sawmill rather than sourced from big-box stores, capturing a sense of quality and character of past craftsmanship... something rare today. Intentionally left exposed, the studs and open spacing of the siding evoke a feeling of a place stumbled upon, stripped down, and repurposed. Beams of light and breezes flow through the space and make you wonder... who was here before me.
The Overlook consists of four separate structures: the indoor/outdoor kitchen, the open-air bathroom, the canvas tent bedroom, and the water tower. And, you don't have to share with other guests. This glamping site is private, and it's all for you!
1. THE INDOOR/OUTDOOR KITCHEN - An eclectically designed, fully-stocked kitchen is complete with a propane oven/range, refrigerator, coffee/espresso maker, sink, BBQ grill (with charcoal and fire-starters), indoor dining set, a covered porch (with another dining set), and an uncovered porch with Adirondack chairs and a smokeless fire pit. We even provide some farm fresh eggs upon request.
2. THE BEDROOM TENT – When leaving the kitchen, a bridge leads the way to a raised pavilion sheltering a tent that serves as the master bedroom. It is complete with a queen-size bed, bedside tables and lamps, a pair of upholstered chairs, and chest of drawers. You'll also find a single-serve coffeemaker, so you can start your morning with a cup of coffee and a great view of the creek and pasture below on yet... another deck.
3. THE BATHROOM - The open-air bathroom has a large pedestal sink, a unique platform shower, and a dry-flush toilet. You're also provided with towels, robes, toiletries, and, of course, hot water.
4. THE WATER TOWER - Our water tower is the last structure. It is used to house the water tank, water pump, and gas generator for the site. This is what keeps it all going.
The Overlook is secluded in a wooded area of our 160 acre property. It can't be accessed by a car or truck, so our guests are offered our side-by-side ATV which also insures they will have access to the entire property and everything it has to offer: deer hunting, duck hunting, and small-mouth bass fishing. If scheduled in advance, skeet shooting can be set up or a canoe can ready to take you down the Osage Creek to the Illinois River.
While in the Ozarks, guests can take advantage of all Northwest Arkansas has to offer and The Overlook is just within reach of all of it. Bentonville (headquarter of Walmart) is know for Crystal Bridge Museum of American Art and James Beard recognized restaurants and bars. Siloam Springs is offers a kayak park and casino. Fayetteville is known for top-notch SEC sports at the beautiful University of Arkansas, and the always safe nightlife of Dickson Street. Northwest Arkansas is also know for our many, many micro brews, pizza joints, and excellent BBQ. And, don't forget about the 550 miles of mountain bike trails. After all, you'll be at Mountain Bike Capital of the World.
We’ve done our best to anticipate everything you might need, so you can settle in, unwind, and enjoy every moment of your glamping adventure. From the practical to the thoughtful extras, we’ve tried to cover it all. That said, every guest is a little different—if there’s something specific that would make your trip perfect, we’d love to hear about it. Just say the word and we’ll do our best to make it happen. Really looking forward to having you here. Your peaceful retreat is waiting!
