The hotel and lobby was very nice and we especially enjoyed the restaurant, Independent. Our room, 303, could use a bit more decor including art and perhaps another chair as there was plenty of unused space including in the bathroom. The room felt a bit sterile.

Wonderful. Staff was extremely friendly including everyone from front desk to wait staff to housekeeping. The only negative is parking was hard to find near hotel. We had to park a block away on side street

Absolutely FABULOUS! This brand new, beautifully decorated small 54-room boutique hotel was such a nice treat. Beautiful artwork, wallpaper, flooring...even the doors and door hardware are wonderful! The attendant at check-in was delightful, and housekeeping was very personable and courteous. The little triangle tea bag setup they provided in the room was perfect, as well as the hot water kettle and coffee pods. Our corner room had a fascinating view of Goat Island and sunset was so pretty. Parking was no problem, and Frank's on Front restaurant was just a few doors down and they were very gracious in getting us a table for dinner that night, which was perfect. All in all, a very delightful stay - I wish we could have stayed one more night! or maybe two more nights?!!! DEFINITELY going back to THE GEORGE!

Beautiful property. Terrific view. Very comfortable room; however, prefer upholstered chair as opposed to wooden one. Desk associates could be coached to be a bit more cordial to guests. Very disappointed that there was no breakfast offering despite a fine restaurant on site. With a modest breakfast available, my rating would be 5 stars.
