Great location in Georgetown. Carpet was stained and bathroom floor grouting needed to be cleaned. View was poor at best. View of the air conditioning units out the window. Our air conditioning unit was very noisy. We tried to turn the unit off but the switch did not respond and it continued to run. Dinner at the in hotel restaurant was excellent!

This was our second time staying at The George and it was just as wonderful as our first. The whole hotel is stunning and our room matched! Everything was very clean and just gorgeous! Our server, Taylor, at The Independent went above and beyond with service and made the birthday we were celebrating extra special! We came by boat and were able to text with the front desk and Preston was kind enough to call ahead to the marina for us which was so so appreciated! Can’t wait for our next stay at The George!

My wife and I were so pleased with our stay at The George, the hotel is perfectly situated where you walk out the front door and you are right in town. All the public spaces are beautifully decorated and meticulously maintained. Every staff member that we encountered were extremely pleasant and accommodating. Georgetown’s Elegant Boutique Hotel

An elegant boutique hotel in the heart of historic Georgetown, on the water, close to excellent restaurants and shops. The room and amenities were first-rate, the staff very accommodating (they reached out to us before we arrived to see if we needed anything—and we did (my wife had forgotten her razor); a razor and shaving cream awaited us when we checked in).
