The listing neither did the property justice, nor was it clear about which groups this property will be unsuitable for, so let this review provide some clarity!
The house is lovely and there is so much space. The view from the upper floor is gorgeous - it's a 6m wide window with views over the rolling hills. The street is very safe, and has trees and birds. There is a deck with a barbecue and table and chairs, that gets the afternoon sun. The kitchen is well appointed with almost everything you could think of - salad bowls with lids, roasting trays, a pie maker, sandwich toaster, serving dishes ... lacking I guess only cake and muffin tins, but no one is going on a coastal holiday to bake, amirite. There was salt and pepper and cooking oil, dishwasher tablets and washing up detergent, so we need not have brought those things. There were some tea bags, and coffee pods/coffee maker.
Please be advised, though, that one bedroom and one bathroom is downstairs - the rest of the house, living areas, kitchen, the other bedrooms, is upstairs, and there are more than 12 stairs. This might make it too difficult for some people, carrying up luggage and groceries. We had three seniors with us and luckily all of them are fit enough to manage the staircase, while us younger ones took care of the heavy stuff. Moreover, those with crawlers/toddlers will have their heart in their mouth the whole time, IFKYK.
If you are not bothered by a staircase, then can definitely recommend The Palms.
