This is a beautiful property in the countryside. The staff are all very personable and customer service oriented. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious with incredible baked goods. We had two dinners at the restaurant and they were both fabulous. The pool was a lovely place to relax. We were able to make several day trips from here and found it to be a good base.

What an amazing place

We had the most peaceful and enjoyable stay at Torre Don Virgilio. The resort is beautifully maintained, with stunning grounds that feature some of the most amazing olive trees we’ve ever seen. The atmosphere was serene and perfect for relaxation. The food was absolutely excellent, offering authentic flavors with a touch of elegance. The service was top-notch, and the staff made sure every detail was perfect. Our room was impeccable—clean, comfortable, and well-appointed. Overall, we highly recommend Torre Don Virgilio to anyone looking for a perfect getaway.

Awesome stay!

We loved our stay. The hotel and restaurant atmosphere was wonderful. We loved the grounds and the pool. Perfect for visiting Ortigia, Noto, Monica, Scillonian and beaches.

Lovely retreat between Noto and Modica

Beautiful property, only 15 minutes to Modica. We had a room facing the pool and gardens. Pool and the room was very clean. Quiet location. The staff were helpful and friendly. We stayed for 3 nights and ate in the restaurant every night as the food was so good. Deconstructed cannoli will be remembered forever. If we return to Sicily would definitely stay here again.

We had a lovely stay at this apartment. The property and rooms were beautiful. We ate in the restaurant one of the nights and the the dinner and the breakfasts were delicious. I liked the country location and was easy to get around to Ragusa, Modica and Scicly by car. I found the bed was not the most comfortable and the toilet paper was the worst on our three week trip in Sicily and Italy. Otherwise was a nice luxury.

What a beautiful and relaxing country hotel, with a nice clean, big pool, and surrounded by olive trees. Incredible dinner served on site, as well as generous and diverse breakfast buffet. Friendly hosts!

Lovely rural location central to surrounding communities and attractions. We were greeted upon check-in with local information and a glass of iced tea. Our room was quiet and comfortable. The staff was very helpful, attentive and professional throughout our stay. The restaurant was excellent for both breakfast and dinner including some of the best seafood we had in the area; sauces were perfectly balanced and fish perfectly cooked. The desserts were delicious, too!

Lovely country inn. Nice room and decent breakfast. The only criticism we have is we were grossly overcharged for the laundry service. When we asked twice for an estimate, we were informed the cost would be reasonable. While we expected there would be a premium, we were gobsmacked when we got the bill. It is for this reason we cannot give this place a high rating.

We loved this hotel and it was by far the best place we stayed on our trip. The historic building and grounds are beautiful. Breakfast is served in a lovely courtyard and we got wonderful recommendations on day trips from the staff. It was so peaceful that it was hard to leave.

Beautiful country side setting, recently renovated farm, everything clean, spotless , manicured lawns, old olive and pomegranate trees, palms ,flowers. Very tranquil . Couple of excellent local Italian restorants/pizzerias nearby (3 km). Very close to Modica. We spent lots of time just relaxing by the pool

Staff is excellent

Giuseppe, the Front Office Manager, is very good and helpful. He touched base with us before our arrival and made us feel very welcome. The owner has been also friendly and he showed us around on the first night there. We loved the atmosphere and the place was better than what we thought. We would highly recommend this place and we will def come back.

We had a great relaxing stay at Torre Don Virgilio. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The room was clean and very comfortable. The property was well kept and the breakfast was great. We enjoying lounging but the pool or on our own terrace. Perfect for some well needed r & r

Good place to stay, but.....

Lovely place to stay, even if finding it can be 'interesting'. A tip, if using a navigation device, is rather than inputting Via Rocciola Scrofani 260 as the street is to substitute Strada Provincial for Via. Only bad thing about the Hotel is that it doesn't do evening meals, so it is necessary to go out for evening meals. Nearest restaurants are about 6 minutes drive away. Great breakfasts and pool . Wifi can be a bit poor

Quiet, rural, lovely pool area

This hotel is remote and isolated but each restaurant we visited locally was really busy. Modica is only 20 minutes drive an the old town is interedting and has an authentic feel. I was a bit disappointed that the hotel restaurant was not open as we had to drive each evening. There was no apparent service at the bar either although you could always find someone at reception. Our room was as expected and characterful. We had a tiny balcony on the ramparts of this interesting old building. Lovely courtyard, olive grove garden and pretty pool. We had a comfortable stay and good breakfast, but the hotel felt partly closed for the season somehow. Our WC was not quite 'hotel' clean and the pool needed a bit of filtering, but there was work going on in the gardens. Good restaurant recommendations from reception and overall our stay was comfortable.

Really good agriturismo in a rural setting.

It is very rural and sat nav equipped to find it. About 20 mns from Modica. Converted country house. Our rooms were in the stable block and were very clean and comfortable, The pool area is lovely and there were no problems getting sun beds. The breakfast was freshly prepared each morning (buffet style) but the emphasis is (common to all Sicily) on the 'sweet'. The lady who overseees breakfast was delightful and really accommodated my husbands coeliac condition and we give her extra brownie points. Overall, a lovely stay, very peaceful indeed but a little too remote for us, that said, with our car we got to Noto, Ragusa and Modica which were all fabulous

A great find

Excellent small hotel in middle of the Ragusa countryside. The pool was perfect and nearly always empty. They do a 4 course menu each day that's excellent.

We couldn't find the hotel initially but when we did(with help from a very friendly motorcyclist in Modica and Frederica the hotel receptionist each taking and meeting us half way) it was worth the detour. This is a lovely Agroturismo . The staff were friendly and helpful.The homemade cakes,yogurt and marmalade at breakfast were delicious.The hotel is in lovely open countryside which did mean a car trip for dinner but we went to the nearby restaraunts recommended by the lovely receptionist Frederica and "Al Monaco" was brilliant.Try their Fish speciality Menu its fantastic value and delicious.The pool and gardens are great and a godsend in the heat.Their restaurant wasn't opened for dinner when we were there sadly as we would love to have tried it. A car is a must here.
