Vast majority of staff were extremely friendly, efficient and courteous. Rooms were clean and well maintained, serviced promptly and cleaning staff were also pleasant and helpful. Check-in and out were seamless. Bar staff were first class.
The one big negative was Saturday morning breakfast. We came down with an hour remaining. So many food items, crockery and cutlery items were missing and the team were making no effort to top up crucial missing items which included bowls, spoons, bread, milk etc. We had to ask for 11 different things, all of which were readily available in the kitchen. One team member seemed miffed to be asked to top up the sausage and tomato, although the other staff members did bring all the things we had asked for. The team were very slow to clear tables and seemed to be busy talking in the kitchen.
The following two days were completely different with the team proactively looking for work and the team leader keeping them on their toes, which is why I gave the excellent rating overall. However, the Saturday team let their colleagues down extremely badly.
