Lakeside Mountain Chalet- Tyaughton (Tyax) Lake

Lakeside living at it's best! Newly renovated, this chalet takes cottage living to a higher level, combining the rustic feel of a log chalet in the woods with all the modern conveniences of home. Enjoy your own dock from which to enjoy lakeside living. A kayak and canoe are provided with the rental, so all you need to do is bring your sense of fun. Relax while fishing, canoeing or kayaking in the pristine 2.5 acre lakeside ambience in our secluded bay directly adjacent to the world renowned Tyax lodge.
There's a private balcony. A kitchen is outfitted with a refrigerator, an oven, and a stovetop. A Smart television and a DVD player are provided for your entertainment, while complimentary wireless internet access keeps you connected. The bathroom has a bathtub and a hair dryer. Conveniences include a phone, as well as a microwave and a coffee/tea maker.
Take in the views from a garden and make use of amenities such as barbecue grills.

The property is a beautiful lake front, Cottage itself is perfect with all the amenities. The biggest hurdle was getting to the location from Vancouver, Road options are few, all 3 options had some gravel parts, from Lillooet Pioneer Road the shortest of gravel parts to Hurley River FSR with up to 60km of gravel.

Our daughter got married at Tyax lodge and we hosted our photographer and videographer at the house for the weekend. It was perfect and had everything they needed - so close to the lodge. Enjoyed Every Minute

Great spot. Very comfortable house with everything you need. In the yard we saw a black bear eating berries, a doe with its fawn, and the usual rabbits, squirrels, herons, kingfishers, dippers and osprey. Coffee on the deck every morning watching the float plane take off from the resort was enjoyable. Peace and quiet and the sound of fish jumping. A lot of history in the area with old towns, mines and mountain trails to explore. Some in our family read two books each while others floated on the lake or hiked the many trails. Great time was had by all, but come for a week if you can!

The “cottage” (more like a lake house) was beautiful and the location was stunning. The kayaks and canoe that were provided were a nice addition and were used every day.

The log cabin is beautiful and very spacious. Everything needed to cook meals is provided and the beds are very comfortable. We enjoyed using the kayaks and canoe provided, and also the proximity of mountain biking and hiking. The view is beautiful and we had a wonderful family vacation.

This cabin is top notch. Well stocked and finished. The view of the lake from inside and on the patio is excellent. Private yard. Use of kayaks and canoe. Abundant wildlife, lots to see and do in the greet outdoors. We are definitely coming back again.

Absolutely stunning!

This was one of the best trips we've taken as of late. The property was absolutely beautiful. The cabin was cozy and clean. The addition of kayaks was great and we had a fantastic time kayaking around the lake. We saw a bear and deer each morning. One thing that was a bit of an annoyance was the bugs. Lots and lots of small black flies that kept biting us (I recommend bringing insect repellent with Deet as the Deet-free one didn't work). Overall a great trip.

Beautiful peaceful property!

This was a beautiful cabin, very peaceful! Loved the wood burning fireplace and the beautiful views. Kitchen had everything we needed for cooking and there was a BBQ for use as well. Very clean and comfortable cabin. The drive to the property is stunning. Best driven with a truck in the colder months. Lots to explore near by. Loved our stay! Thank you Chris!

excellent Cabin and location

We enjoyed the Cabin. Very clean and well maintained. Weather was cold as expected. Disappointingly we ran out of firewood. lucky I brought a chainsaw. other than that it was wonderful.
