Surfers and sunbakers love it for its spectacular wide, sandy white shores and crystal blue waters. The Palm Beach artificial reef can provide excellent beach breaks for longboarding, shortboarding and stand-up paddle boarding (a mini-mal and a surfboard are provided at Beach Break for guest use). It is a popular spot for snorkelling and fishing. In summer, there are a number of patrolled sections for swimming within a short walking distance.

Palm Beach hosts a number of laid-back eateries, bars, bakeries, and luxe boutiques including Frida Sol Mexican Bar and Taqueria, Balboa Italian Restaurant, The Collective, The Cadllac Supper Club Restaurant, Paris Brest Bakery and of course the iconic Palm Beach Surf Club.
