Best place to stay for Banff trip. Golden skybridge is minutes away! Kicking horse resort is also very good. Very scenic place to stay!! Despite some staffs seem to be not courteous enough, other people are kind and friendly. Room service could have been faster (takes repeated followup and time) . Appliances are old ( our microwave has problems and requires a call to service to fix it)! Still I highly recommended!

Beautiful views of the surrounding mountains and forest. Spacious room with balcony. Nice bathroom amenities. Poor review on the food spectrum. No restaurants open. Perhaps a few breakfast items would have been appreciated. Not every visitor wants to drive back down the mountain for food.

Door lock broken. Blinds wouldn’t open. Only 6 single very thin pieces of paper towel. Front desk gave us incorrect information about restaurant hours in the building. I called and asked if they had secure underground parking. They said they did, but didn’t inform me I had to pay extra for it. Room was hot. No air conditioning. It would be an oven in the summer.

Not what I would’ve expected from this property. Dirty dishes left in the dishwasher, dirty floor chips left on floor from the last people who had the room, table wasn’t cleaned and had this terrible sticky feel to it. For $300+ a night I expect more

No warning that the restaurant was closed except for weekends. You text us with info, how about warning us that we would have to drive back down the mountain to Golden to eat? Mosquitoes around the hot tub made it hard to stay for more a few minutes. How about some netting?

Hotel

Hotel was clean and could definitely tell it would be a great winter place, we where there in off season so wasnt anything to do onsite, but staff where friendly and it was clean. There is a playground close by and things to do in Golden. Overall we enjoyed our trip.

It was the quintessential mountain lodge experience. We were told that the dining area was not open for the season as yet so that was no surprise. A beautiful place!!

The hotel room was fine and I would have given it 4 stars except for two important factors. First, there was an extra Resort Fee that was charged when we checked in.There was nothing obvious in the Hotels.com information to indicate that there would be an extra fee. This is not acceptable. When the website shows a total price that includes all taxes and fees, we don't expect to be charged another $13 when we check in. Secondly, there were NO restaurants open for dinner in or near the hotel. As a result, we had to drive 20km back down the mountain to find a restaurant and then after dinner, drive another 20km back up the mountain. If there are NO Restaurants near the hotel, this needs to be highlighted in the description. If we knew the above two items, we WOULD NOT have stayed at this hotel.

Lovely property and gorgeous view of the mountains! I’m not sure what the other comments are about but our room looked clean, modern, everything worked and was perfect! We came very late yet front desk was welcoming. ONLY DOWNSIDE get food in the town of golden before driving up or you will not have Much in the ways of options for food at the lodge itself! Otherwise it was great!
