I dropped my son off at camp nearby and stayed the night here. A relaxing, peaceful, quiet, comfortable escape. The back porch is a treasure. I will return.

Peaceful Escape in a Handcrafted Haven

We loved our stay at this beautiful, Amish-built cabin tucked away on a quiet 10-acre property. It was the perfect place to relax and unplug. The cabin itself is charming and cozy, with comfortable accommodations and thoughtful details throughout. We spent our days exploring nearby parks and fishing, and our evenings gathered around the fire pit with the kids—who also loved trying out the archery setup. One of our favorite features was the wrap-around porch, where we watched summer storms roll in and felt completely immersed in nature. The setting was tranquil and secluded, just what we were hoping for.Highly recommend for families, nature lovers, or anyone looking to disconnect and recharge.

Absolutely beautiful place! It felt so clean. I have never felt comfortable being barefoot in anyone's house before, let alone a VRBO. I actually felt comfortable being barefoot in this one! The huge porch was so nice. The views of the countryside were gorgeous. And there is so much space for dogs to run. It was the perfect place for my writing retreat.

Fantastic unplugged hideaway!

I booked a weekend at the Yoder house as a surprise getaway for my wife and we absolutely loved the property! The house is tucked away in the trees just enough for total privacy, but close enough to neighbors and town in the event of an emergency. There’s no internet and very little cell service, so it’s about as “unplugged” as you can get while still being within 20 minutes of fuel, food, and a little town full of the nicest people! We spent the weekend enjoying our books and the view from the hammocks on the porch, or cuddled up next to the fireplace in the living room. Absolutely recommend!

Peaceful, Pet-Friendly Escape with Scenic Comfort

We came to the area for some mountain biking at Raystown and couldn’t have picked a better place to stay! The outdoor fireplace on the deck was perfect for relaxing after a ride, and the view of the rolling hills was stunning. We loved the spacious deck, and so did our dogs—they had a blast! Peaceful strolls through the land, cozy Amish furniture, and the hammocks were a really nice touch.

spacious cabin in quiet environment

My family booked this property because we no longer live in the area but needed a place to stay as well as a space to host a reception after our mother's funeral. This place was perfect for our needs. It was quiet, spacious, and well-appointed. The host was very accommodating and communicative. We would stay here again. Also, many of our guests thought they may also like to rent this property in the future. Thank you!

Micro Wedding

When my daughter announced her plans to have a small family wedding the property instantly came to mind. I had stayed there previously. The kitchen set up was perfect. The beauty of the structure created an ideal setting. By the fire, in front of stone fireplace, snow covered mountains invisible thru the windows, surrounded by loved ones, the young couple

Great place to chill

I booked this cabin for the weekend to throw my dirty thirty birthday party. I had probably 25 people and we had just enough seats/space for everyone inside. The huge table was a great gathering spot. We had the inside & outside fireplaces going. This is an awesome place for a get together in the winter, and I'm betting it's just as great in the summer. We ended up getting an ice storm and more people stayed than what we anticipated, so the loft with all the beds was perfect. Overall the cabin was cozy, the view was amazing, and it had everything we needed for a good party. The negative aspects of the property: the water smells like rotten eggs, we knew from reading the listing to bring bottled water but to take a shower just dried my skin out so bad. BRING LOTION. Almost all of the guests complained about the toilet seat, I know it's heated with a bidet but no one used it. The listing says the bed in the bedroom is a queen but it's more like a double. My husband is 6ft tall and his feet were on top of the frame. All these issues were very minor, I'm still giving a five star review. We're already talking about coming back for another get together in the summer. Thanks Annie!

6 stars

Our morning view was snow and cardinals with a mountain backdrop. The living room is cozy and comfortable and we loved the long table for setting up games. The kitchen is more than serviceable and the fireplace and provided kindling made it easy to get settled quickly. The cabin was impeccably clean and cared for. We didn’t want to leave. Annie helped us extend our stay and we are so glad we did. Highly recommend!
