We had such a wonderful stay at this cabin. The setting was incredibly peaceful, surrounded by nature, and the cabin itself was beautiful, clean, and very comfortable. It was the perfect place to relax and unwind away from the noise of everyday life.We truly enjoyed every moment and would absolutely stay here again.

Another great fall weekend. Watching deer in the corn field and cold enough for fire place both nights. Penn State just fell 45 sec short.

The cabin was immaculate and well stocked with kitchen items, bed and bath linens and loads of family oriented games and activities. While it was just my husband and myself, it would be a wonderful place to bring children and grandchildren. The views from the porch are stunning.

This beautiful cabin is quiet and secluded with sweeping views of the hills. The kitchen is well equipped, if you’re into cooking together. Everything is clean and comfortable.

The cabin was immaculate and the woodwork in this place was superb (great craftsmanship!). I was also very impressed with the impressive amount of cooking utensils (pots, pans, et al) in the kitchen. Overall, it was exactly as the photos on VRBO depict! My only regret is that we were only able to stay for one night. We hope to return next year!Only three and very minor caveats: a) if you are not used to the taste and smell of well water (a slight sulfur odor), then it may be best to bring your own bottled water - the hosts will also let you know about this; b) there's a very early morning sunrise which permeates the cabin - just a heads up for night owls and folks who enjoy sleeping late! c) The cabin is a bit off the beaten path; so be mindful of where you may hike in the woods and the fields nearby - we were politely warned by a neighbor that we had accidentally trespassed onto his property during our Saturday morning hike, and that it was also the (in his words) first day of bow and arrow hunting season!

It was the perfect place for my husband, kids, dog and I. The porch has a wrap around fence so my dog could walk around freely. There’s no tv or WiFi which made being off the grid so nice and relaxing. Will definitely be back to stay again.

My sister and I took our 93 year old mother and had a great time. Loved the sunsets, cat yoga puzzle, local parks, the lake beach, and comfortable cabin. The loft was very hot and humid in the weather we had while there, and probably the dishes and kitchen equipment need a clean check.

Peaceful Escape in a Handcrafted Haven

We loved our stay at this beautiful, Amish-built cabin tucked away on a quiet 10-acre property. It was the perfect place to relax and unplug. The cabin itself is charming and cozy, with comfortable accommodations and thoughtful details throughout. We spent our days exploring nearby parks and fishing, and our evenings gathered around the fire pit with the kids—who also loved trying out the archery setup. One of our favorite features was the wrap-around porch, where we watched summer storms roll in and felt completely immersed in nature. The setting was tranquil and secluded, just what we were hoping for.Highly recommend for families, nature lovers, or anyone looking to disconnect and recharge.

Absolutely beautiful place! It felt so clean. I have never felt comfortable being barefoot in anyone's house before, let alone a VRBO. I actually felt comfortable being barefoot in this one! The huge porch was so nice. The views of the countryside were gorgeous. And there is so much space for dogs to run. It was the perfect place for my writing retreat.

Fantastic unplugged hideaway!

I booked a weekend at the Yoder house as a surprise getaway for my wife and we absolutely loved the property! The house is tucked away in the trees just enough for total privacy, but close enough to neighbors and town in the event of an emergency. There’s no internet and very little cell service, so it’s about as “unplugged” as you can get while still being within 20 minutes of fuel, food, and a little town full of the nicest people! We spent the weekend enjoying our books and the view from the hammocks on the porch, or cuddled up next to the fireplace in the living room. Absolutely recommend!

Peaceful, Pet-Friendly Escape with Scenic Comfort

We came to the area for some mountain biking at Raystown and couldn’t have picked a better place to stay! The outdoor fireplace on the deck was perfect for relaxing after a ride, and the view of the rolling hills was stunning. We loved the spacious deck, and so did our dogs—they had a blast! Peaceful strolls through the land, cozy Amish furniture, and the hammocks were a really nice touch.
