The hotel and staff are lovely, and it is conveniently located right next to Gotemba Station. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. I would recommend staying there every time you plan to travel to that region.

The breakfast was really good! It is a self-serve hotel, so staff did not complete the check in/out, but they were extremely helpful with directions or any questions we had, and proficient in English. We walked to the hotel from the station in a few minutes, and in the morning took a taxi from outside to the Gotemba 5th station trailhead.

Great location, but our room was right near a lift and kept us up at night, also had no view our outside at all and there was a dripping sound in the walls all night. Beds are very hard and you only get one super thing pillow per person.

Short stay in Gotemba

We had a great overnight stay in Gotemba. The only negative was the bed was so hard. I like a firm mattress but this was beyond firm. The breakfast buffet was excellent.
