Disruptive Stay Due to Unannounced Renovations

I wanted to share some feedback about my recent stay from March 22-23 2025. Unfortunately, I was not made aware that the hotel was undergoing renovations until I saw a sign in the elevator. The noise levels, especially on Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning, were extremely disruptive—it sounded like a jackhammer was coming through the floor. Additionally, at one point, the water in our sink was orange, which was concerning. We also requested blankets in person at the front desk but never received them. I understand that renovations are sometimes necessary, but better communication and guest service would have improved the experience.

Hot tub was out of order and the pool area was kinda gross. It was a huge event weekend, so it was busy, none the less they shouldn't have just left it. Found glasses on the side of the bed, wondering how they were missed if the sheets had been changed 😕. The beautiful fire place was not lit. Nice view from the room. Grounds were pretty. Legends restaurant was very good. Not sure I would stay again.

Stayed her when it first opened in the 90s. Great outdoor area, restaurant and pub was good, friendly staff! Overall would nice stay and will be staying here again when back in Penn State.

Room didn't appear it was cleaned

Have been staying at the Penn stater for many years. this trip was not as good as past trips. The room was not very clean. Found hairs on floor an in sink and a used washcloth wrapped inside a clean towel and water still in ice bucket from last occupant. Felt as though wasn't even cleaned at all. Legends restaurant was excellent as it has always been so that was the highlight of the trip. This Hotel is very tired and needs some updating for the price.

I appreciated the complimentary shuttle which allowed us to het to and ftom the hockey game without baving to drive and park. Always appreciate the complimentsry coffee and hot chocolate. Its a small thing but makes a difference.

It was perfect, the staff made the stay extra special. Hotel rooms were clean, and the shuttle bus they have is so helpful when going to a Penn State Hockey Game.
