Gather the family and settle into this 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom home nestled in the heart of the Columbine Lake neighborhood. With private bedrooms spread across two levels and stunning views of the nearby mountain peaks, this retreat offers the perfect blend of relaxation, adventure, and connection.

Enjoy the main level open-concept layout. Whether you're preparing a meal in the well-stocked, spacious kitchen or sharing stories around the large dining table, there's room for all. Just off the kitchen, step out onto the expansive deck, perfect for dining with plenty of seating and fresh mountain air.

After a day of hiking, or exploring nearby Rocky Mountain National Park, unwind in the cozy living area with a large smart TV for movie nights or gather around the keyboard for a family singalong. Also on the main level, you’ll find another full bathroom and a queen bedroom that features its own private deck, an ideal spot for sipping morning coffee or watching the evening stars.

Head downstairs to the lower level where the private primary suite includes a queen bed and ¾ ensuite bathroom. Down the hall are two more thoughtfully appointed bedrooms. One with a twin-over-full bunk bed, and another with a twin trundle bed, great for kids or additional guests. You'll also find a full bathroom, as well as a laundry area with a washer and dryer for added convenience.

An attached garage provides easy access for all your mountain gear, and for winter visitors, direct snowmobile trail access is available right from the neighborhood, no need to trailer in!

Winter Arrival:
Please be prepared before beginning your drive to the mountains! Four-wheel drive or all-wheel drive vehicles are highly recommended. Although the main roads are usually plowed well, many residential areas require traversing steep hills on dirt roads that are not as maintained. Keep in mind that chain and traction laws for non-commercial vehicles can be put into effect at any time. We do not advise driving Berthoud Pass in a front-wheel drive vehicle unless you a comfortable putting chains on yourself. Weather and driving conditions may change rapidly. We will not accommodate refund related to weather or road conditions, please plan accordingly.

Grand Lake weekend stay

My family and I enjoyed a nice stay in our VRBO in Grand Lake. The location was very convenient to town, very quiet and comfortable! We did discover when making coffee our first morning that the glass coffee pot had a crack in the bottom and leaked water. We were pleased to see that a keurig was also available!

Family and pet friendly cabin on quiet cul-de-sac

This was our second time at Peak View in the Columbine Lake community. It has plenty of space and sleeping accommodations for a family trip to Grand Lake with multiple generations/age groups. Everything you need, and nestled in a quiet outer cul-de-sac of Columbine makes it the perfect place whether you want to sit with a cup of coffee on the deck or have quick access to a more adventurous outing.

Grand Lake

House was clean and very large if you had many people to stay, it was just us two and our French Bulldog who goes everywhere with us! Grand Lake is a very friendly Dog Town! Only thing we were in search of in the house that would be nice is some tissues, and softer pillows. But the bed upstairs was very comfortable a second side table a light would have been nice but I had a head lamp for reading. Thank you!!

Grand Lake Getaway

We stayed here for 6 days for a family reunion. Peggy was a great host and the house worked well for our group of 9. Very convenient to RMNP and the town of Grand Lake. The kitchen was very well stocked with every device imaginable--instant pot, griddle, electric frypan, etc. The guitar was a nice bonus as my husband plays and even started to teach my daughter during the week. (He did say it needs new strings though.) A couple suggestions: put a house number or something out by the street. We arrived at night, and since the area is so dark, it was hard to find the right house, even with the directions of the 3rd house in. Beach towels would be a nice addition, so we didn't have to take the shower towels to the lake or on the boat. Ceiling fan in the living room was temperamental--sometimes it would go faster and sometimes it wouldn't. Overall, we had a great stay!

Fantastic Stay in Grand Lake!

We had a great time at this cabin near Grand Lake! We spent our time looking at the beautiful view and enjoying the birds out on the deck. Close to town, yet secluded enough for a quiet family weekend. We even caught the 4th of July fireworks show from the deck!

This Place is THE Best!

Perfect rental property for our family vacation. House was very clean, well-supplied with everything, in a beautiful location. Close to downtown, yet in a quiet area with no noise. Beds were very comfortable too. Lots of nice extras too -- games, cards, many books and DVD's of many kinds. Definitely something for everyone. Even a keyboard for use. Owner was extremely responsive throughout the registration and during our stay. The location of the home is beautiful. We would highly recommend this property to anyone and plan to return and rent it again as soon as we can. Thank you for offering this exceptional property.

Family reunion

The house is good for large family groups accommodating children, teens, adults, seniors and furry grand child. There was even a horseshoe pit which is a big hit with our family. The neighborhood is quite and friendly good for walks. Far enough away from town to be quiet but close enough to run quick errands and enjoy the towns rustic charm. The only down side was the blender didn't work and the light in the dinning room needed to be fixed. Overall we had a good time and Peggy was helpful and friendly!

A wonderful place to stay. It was just just perfect for our family reunion.

Peggy was a delight to deal with. Whenever we had any questions she was more than happy to help. Great kitchen with a super quiet dishwasher. Windows all around create a delightful breeze while sleeping on any of the comfortable beds. A BBQ on the deck sure made for a special afternoon. We stuffed ourselves and easily took cat naps on the comfortable playpen couch in front of the TV. We all had an incredible vacation together. Don't pass over this vacation home when looking for a place to stay cause this is it! We will be back again. Thank you, Peggy.
