This property was super cute! It did not have AC, but the staff offered suggestions for how to make things cooler- it worked for the most part. We enjoyed the view and the balcony. Really liked its proximity to the train station and the town. It was easy to get around. The staff was very friendly and personal. This breakfast buffet was our least favorite though- although, it was fine. The room was a bit tight for two.

Grinderwald First

Grinderwald is such an amazing place. You haven’t visited Switzerland until you’ve been to the Berner Oberland region! Location of hotel is adjacent to train station and the primary local bus stop is across the street. Hotel is a little older than others but it’s very clean, updates are being done and its views of the Eiger are outstanding!!! Staff service and continental breakfast was great. We really enjoyed our nights here. The only down side was the size of the room. 2 adults with 2 large suitcases would be crunch time! We had 2 carry-ons and could feel tight. But like mentioned, the balcony views are incredible!!!!

Warm property, nice spacious rooms. View is amazing! Shout out to the staff 👏👏 my husband left his Apple Watch in the room after check out and hotel staff called me and informed about the watch. Also kept safely, when i went i was handed over the watch.

Great location

This hire in grindelwald is a perfect location! It is located right near the train station and the start of the main town road. The room itself is a bit small but if your staying longer than a day there is plenty of space to take out clothes and everything and not fee extremely tight.

Great views

Perfect location. Close to train station and buses. Nice little breakfast, great coffee. Very accommodating to what we needed ( corkscrew & wine glasses). Great balcony looking straight into Bernese Alps. Small bathroom but good shower. Price was more than fair compared to others

Property only 2 mins walk from station. Strongly suggest get a balcony view as view is amazing. Clean hotel and Switzerland in general. Lots activities in easy distance. Transport system brilliant. Would totally recommend both hotel and resort. Staff very accommodating at helping us add on and extra day to our stay. Thank you

The hotel condition was great. The room was clean. However, the room was too small we can’t open our luggage inside the room. We could only take out things we needed and put them in the balcony. There was air conditioning so in the afternoon it was hot and stuffy. The room was provided with a fan but we still think it was kind of hot given that it was middle of June and it was 30C. Book larger room if you want a better staying experience.

I would stay here again if I ever returned to Grindelwald. The property is right in the heart of town and only a few steps from the train stations (don’t worry you can’t hear the trains). It has parking. It puts on a sensational breakfast which is included in the price. All The staff, but in particular Elias, were amazing, friendly and extremely knowledgeable about the area, and very helpful. There’s a wonderful terrace where u can have drinks or a picnic with yr in food (they provide a microwave) and if weather is not so good you can sit inside I. The communal dining room, there’s a bar lounge with soft mood music and tea/coffe/snacks. The only downside is the room was a bit small and it got very hot as there was no airconditioning but there was a small fan. These two negatives is nothing compared to we’ve Ty thing else. Like I said, I would stay here again for sure. Loved our stay here
