Hit and Miss

I stayed here before and absolutely love the gardens and little pools at the hotel and thought it would be a nice family spot because the shuttle to the beach and use of loungers is super convenient (though shuttle runs only 1/hr and sometimes leaves early so you need to be in the lobby waiting at least 15min in advance). The beach is lovely with super calm water and fair number of loungers with shade. However, Rodney Bay seems to be much less busy than it used to be; by 7pm, all shops and a lot of smaller restaurants are already closed, so you really need to rely on the hotel for activities and getting actuate information about what activities are available was a major issue (and quality varied). Service in general is not good - no one will go out of their way. Most of the staff are friendly enough but some are are almost hostile to guests. Expect long waits in restaurants - up to ten minutes just to be seated at a table that wasn't cleaned or set with cutlery. You might ask three times for coffee and still have to get it yourself. There are very few vegetarian options; the food is overall expensive and not very good (and not consistent: had a great wrap at the resort one day and then a mediocre one the next day). Breakfast was just ok; there was salt fish on offer at least twice and never any pancakes or waffles or anything of that sort, but there is a very good egg station. Gym is tiny but new equip. Rooms are ok but dated. Showers with poor pressure, inconsistent heat.

Amazing stay at a great location. Breakfast was particularly good. Friendly and welcoming staff. Added bonus of a free shuttle to the beach and use of sister property is very much appreciated.

Ms. Cheryl Gustave (General Manager) and her staff were most accommodating to me and my family while we were visiting the island in February (2025). We had a very memorable 3-generational trip (mother, daughter & grandmother) and our stay here was no exception. Now, we plan to return to the property every time we visit St. Lucia and will certainly recommend it to others. I can't say enough about the service, food, drinks, shuttle to the other (3) Bay Gardens properties, which we had access to, and the serene atmosphere at Bay Gardens Hotel. The bartenders were great and the Rum Punch was even better! The hotel was recommended to us by family members and it did not disappoint. The pictures online accurately depicted the grounds. Well worth the money. I wish I had been a bit more adventurous and taken part in the Karaoke Night activities...maybe next time.

Great property, clean and close to everything Youre looking for in a vacation. Beach , free shuttle, restaurants, shopping activities. This hotel is as it's on the website ,customer service was excellent. Check in check out smootj and easy . Bartender quincy is awesome. All the waiters at the breakfast buffet are pleasant and friendly.

The hotel is not a 4-star property. Breakfast was poor and of very low quality, room is old and many facilities including shower were not working properly. Rooms were loud due to street traffic. Staff was not professional.

I was given the worst room, far from the main hotel, on the road so very noisy. Asked to be changed and request was refused. Asked for a chair and a desk, they brought a pool chair and never a desk or table. Breakfast buffet was lousy, shells in the eggs, limited selection. Hotel was very loud around the pool making it difficult to have a conversation. Food was overpriced. Room looked nothing like the pictures. Asked about they gym and was told that they do not have one at that hotel however on my way to the room i found one. Not sure why they didn't tell me about it. Checked out early. Will not be staying there again.

We had a great stay at Bay Gardens Hotel, spending five days and four nights enjoying the amenities and nearby attractions. The food was excellent, and we loved the easy access to the Rodney Bay shopping area. One of the highlights of our stay was the all-inclusive package, which gave us access to their resort about a 20-minute walk away. We enjoyed having lunch there and using their pool, which was a great perk. The only downside was the timeshare sales pitch—we weren’t interested, but the representative was a bit aggressive. Additionally, I was promised a $100 spa voucher, which was never provided. Despite these minor issues, we had a pleasant stay and would recommend Bay Gardens Hotel for its great location, good food, and overall experience.
