A fabulous house amongst the redwoods! Spotless and a terrific hot tub! However, in the materials for checking in, they should explain how there may be periodic electrical outages. We arrived in the dark and had no electricity, no Wi-Fi, no signal, only satellite. Nonetheless, we had a great time in the beautiful house.

We quite enjoyed our time at the Wood Chalet and its location nestled in the Redwoods. From the quite well appointed and provisioned kitchen, to the comfortable beds everything was as described. A short walk to the Russian River and a less than ten minute drive to Guerneville, this was a great jumping off point for our time in Sonoma. When on of my young nieces left her diary tucked under the pillow when we left, the owner personally drove over to the property and helped send it out to be reunited with its young author in New York.

We had a great stay! We were especially pleased with the kitchen as there were many items we don't normally see in a rental- a dutch oven, instant thermometer, and a good variety of cooking utensils were some of the most helpful items we usually have to bring ourselves. And when we needed more kitchen towels, the manager brought over a few more right away.

My family loved our stay at the Wood Chalet.. Every room feels like you are in a tree house (but with great beds), and the cathedral windows in the living area is magnificent. Not to mention to hot tub nestled in the majestic trees!!

Great spot in the redwoods

We had a great time and did wine tasting, shopping, a spa visit and ate terrific food. The house is literally in the redwoods and is spacious and clean. The beds are comfortable. The hot tub is a nice addition. The property management company was responsive. Would definitely stay here again.

Russian River

This was our second trip to the Russian River area and our first stay in this beautiful home. We enjoyed everything about it. Its closeness to town/the river and a short drive to other places to see. The house was spotless and we had and plenty of room for 6 adults. The 3 bathrooms is a big plus! Loved walking every morning, so peaceful. My only suggestion would be to put window coverings on the bedroom windows, it felt a little to open to the neighborhood, especially at night but other than that, a perfect trip and we would rent again!!

Birthday Retreat

Planned a trip to the area for my birthday with a few friends and we had a wonderful time! We all enjoyed the house - it was a perfect home base between our outings. The natural lighting was beautiful and the 3 bathrooms were a bonus. Would definitely recommend a stay here - just be aware of the stairs and steep driveway!

destination wedding get together

this house was perfect for adult relatives to stay together because each of the three bedrooms has their own bathroom. the kitchen and common living room are open and modern with a vaulted ceiling and a massive window facing a forest of redwood trees. We enjoyed the very large and super clean hot tub. Everything was modern and clean. There are lots of steps from the road to the entrance, which was fine for us, but might be a challenge for some people.

The Wood Chalet

We had family visiting from Tulsa and we absolutely love the Rio Nido area so we wanted to share the experience. Everyone had an amazing experience at this rental. Having separate bathrooms was a huge hit! Gorgeous home with all the amenities we could need.

Russian River Gem, almost...

Three of us enjoyed our 3-night stay at the Wood Chalet. It's a beautiful home with comfortable beds and good size bedrooms. Having three bathrooms was especially nice! The living space was comfortable and the hot tub was clean and bubbly! Some areas where the property manager/owners have had feedback but still need to be addressed: the house was 58 degrees when we arrived and took many hours to warm up. This was even after I read the reviews and asked for them to turn on the heat. We were uncomfortably cold. The driveway might be passable for an SUV or Subaru -- not for a sedan. It is short, but seriously steep and mossy. Since it was raining when we were there and we parked off the narrow street, it seems like the parking could use to be gravel; it was muddy and I did worry about whether the car would get stuck. We had some difficulty with the streaming service; very hard to navigate. I had to contact the property manager to get clarification on the lock box code. Finally, it's good to know that the Russian River is a bit funky and that is part of its charm. The home, while lovely, is on a street that my companions didn't love walking in. Everything is close by, and Guerneville is charming.

Interesting location

Great for the three couples we had a reach bedroom had is own bath. The property met all our needs. Parking was a bit of a challenge as the hillside parking was moss covered/unuseable, and the street level was very wet. Our only suggestion would be adding window blinds in the bedrooms (even though it's wooded having blinds would preferable).

Close to Guerneville

Close to downtown Guerneville, several wineries, Redwood Forest and an less than an hour from the coast. Private hot tub was wonderful. Place was clean and bright. Nice room layout for couples or families.

Great stay at the Chalet

The Wood Chalet provided our family with a wonderful and comfortable stay, as well as total convenience being located just a few minutes' drive from Guerneville and the Russian River. The house is in a great neighborhood, which although populated, still felt very peaceful, private and quiet. The house was well stocked with everything we could have needed to enjoy our stay, including toys to entertain the kiddos, and a playground down the street. We ended up extending our stay by a few days because this was such a great space to hang in!

Getaway in the woods

We did a sisters trip to escape the heat. It was a nice stay, clean, comfortable beds. Super easy check in. No window coverings was probably the one negative.
