BEWARE BEFORE BOOKING!! This place was the complete opposite of the listing. There was black mold throughout the whole house, the baseboards/doors were filthy. The washer was nasty from build up from other guest. The bunk beds upstairs were extremely loose and unsafe… although maintenance did fix it we couldn’t use that bed the day we got there. The attic door located in the kids room where the bunk beds were was unlocked and open which was unsafe and hazardous. The shower heads sprayed water everywhere and one was literally duct tapped together which again we had to have maintenance to fix. It rained the first 3 days we were there and three windows on the main floor leaked and the front door leaked so that was highly inconvenient. The window close to the Tv wouldn’t even latch and was detached from the window sill… most of the windows were screwed shut which isn’t safe in an emergency. The window in the kids room with bunk beds would easily open and was very unsafe considering it was on the 3rd floor… although again we had to call maintenance they just put another screw in there to hold it shut. The whole place was nothing like the listing and EXTREMELY overpriced. I would never book this house ever again. The stairs are extremely steep and there’s 3 set of steps which is highly inconvenient when packing suitcases upstairs.

Had the absolute best time with family and friends. Very clean with plenty of room for our 14 guests. Everything was close by. Beach right at your feet. Could not of asked for a better place.

The location and the beach access were excellent. I did not think that the bedrooms were very well furnished. Only one bedroom had a chest of drawers or a dresser. I would suggest that the cleaning crew not use fabuloso or whatever the cleaning solution was. It was so strong that it was almost nauseating. The microwave had been cleaned with it and could not be used because anything you put in the microwave taste like fabuloso. But the agent was very responsive and sent us a new microwave immediately. The agents we talked to at Coastal View during the week were wonderful about everything.

This house needs some fixes. Dishwasher holds water which smells. Third floor is a mess that room with 8 beds is the worst. Roof has yellow spots and we found all kinds of trash behind the beds. Impossible to regulate the air conditioning. We had fun but the house was not our favorite.

Beach was great. It was clean and nice to walk up and down. The house is large and accommodated our family well. The table was perfect for meals and games. Saw dolphins and plenty of birds from the decks. Was disappointed in property upkeep. Water stains in ceiling, tub drain in middle bathroom slow and filled with water, two bathrooms had a drain that was not pulled out of tub, 1 toilet paper roll holder was not even in the wall, 1 window could not even shut in great room, the others do not open, hand railing needs painting, no blinds in great room facing the beach, blinds broke in one bathroom, etc. I was thinking at this price point things would be a little more upkept. Cleanliness - At least 2 beds had sand and other people's body hair in upon check-in. We washed. Windows were so dirty we washed because we were there for the view, toothpaste and other stains on vanity upon check-in. Noise-1st night we had neighbors and did not hear much, then the duplex on the other side was vacant until the last 2 nights we had new neighbors and it was LOUD. Not sure what can be done about, but just be prepared to not sleep if your neighbors are up and down the stairs. Felt like we were in their portion. I sounds like I am complaining a lot, but these are our honest feelings and feel that others that are renting should be aware. We were not and it started our vacation off on a bad note.

Almost perfect!!!

Beautiful home and perfect location. The view is amazing from both balconies. I love to cook and was glad to have everything one would need. Plenty of dishes and silverware as well. The only issue is it’s a duplex. I’m sure that’s not usually a problem but if there’s a group of teens next door to you that run up and down the stairs you will hear them.

Exactly what we were looking for.

Our group of 16 (ages 11 to mid-40s) had an amazing trip. I was concerned that the property may feel cramped with all of us but was definitely not. In fact, another family joined us on the beach and for meals and there was plenty of room for 21 people. The interior seems to have been updated recently, although the shower floors have some wear (nothing gross). Nice appliances. The location is perfect if you want to be away from crowds. The Sassy Bass market around the corner was perfect to grab some ice every morning and replenish our daiquiri mix. Here are things I think are good to know. Shipt delivers groceries to this property. The air conditioning is always “iffy” on the coast, but it worked great on our stay. Never an issue with hot water. The kitchen has plenty of room to move around; pantry is huge. There is parking under the house. There is a hose and shower under the house to rinse off after the beach. There are a lot of oil/gas rigs that you can see off the coast. Not a big deal at all, but if that kind of thing bothers your view, it’s good to know. Washer and dryer have large capacities. Brooms, mops, and fans are available. We had a fantastic trip and would absolutely stay at the Commodore East again.

Beautiful condo. Busy location on the beach. Parking deck is crazy. Didn’t like wearing the bracelet for condo. Great for kids. Pricey when you add in all of the fees…especially for parking. That should be included in the rate!

Great Beach house

We enjoyed our stay at this house. It met our needs for the week. There were only a few things that we were disappointed in. It rained several times & we had a couple of roof leaks. The outdoor table was wobbly but we reported it to the property manager & someone came out the next morning & braced the table. We bought a rug & put at the door leading into the house to help trap some of the sand from coming in & also bought measuring cups. But other than a few inconvenience, we would definitely stay again.

This property and property management was awesome! We loved the area of Fort Morgan! The property was far enough out that there was no crowd but close enough to drive in if we wanted to do something. The communication with the property management could not have been better! If you are looking for a great place to stay with your family, this is the place!
