We stayed for the night prior to catching a flight the following day. The hotel staff I found overall quite rude, one cleaner actually pushed me into a wall as she was pulling a hoover. The breakfast does not at all warrant the cost, so don't bother! We went at 7am the food was cold, bread stale and pancakes cold and hard. Fruit was all but gone off due to not being kept cold or covered. The staff member at breakfast didn't look up from her phone once the whole time. By far the worse breakfast I've had in a hotel. The rooms were dark, really dark to a point I was using my phone light to pack my suitcase. Complete inadequate lighting. The hotel is under renovations so expect building works. The walls seemed so thin we could hear everything next door (not pleasant at 4am!) Unfortunately this hotel does not warrant the cost, avoid!

Everything was wonderful bathrooms were great and it was very quiet. Staff was great the only thing was in the room we were staying in there was a weird stain on the sheets and the people before left socks that hadn’t been cleaned up.

Basic stay close to the airport

Pros: The location is convenient; free coffee is available in the morning; the shower is hot. Cons: It’s a basic hotel with limited storage space. The walls are thin, and we could hear people talking next door. The parking lot is not salted, making it unsafe to walk. Overall: Nothing special.

No shuttle from airport to hotel. You must take a taxi. Very treacherous ICE NOT A LITTLE IN THE PARKING LOT TO THE ENTRANCE. PILES OF SNOW THEN ICE ON TOP OF THE SNOW VERY DANGEROUS I WAS SLIPPING AND SLIDING HOLDING ON TO VEHICLES WHERE THERE WAS NO BITS OF ICE PUDDLES OF DEEP WATER MY SHOES AND SOCKS WERE SOAKING WET.PLAN ON FALLING GETTING TO THE ENTRANCE. I HAD NO LUGGAGE IF YOU HAVE SUITCASES AND LOTS OF BAGS TO GET TO THE ENTRANCE ITS GOING TO BE VERY DIFFICULT UNBELIEVABLE. THE NIGHT SHIFT GUY JUST LAUGHED WHEN I TOLD HIM HOW DANGEROUS IT WAS TO GET TO THE RECEPTION THEY WONT BE LAUGHING WHEN SOMEONE FALLS AND END UP IN A HOSPITAL. SHUTTLE BACK TO AIRPORT LAST ONE 10AM MY FLIGHT IS AT 4.30 PM TONIGHT VERY INCONVENIENT FOR ME. THE ROOM WAS NICE FREEZING ROOM AND BATHROOM WHEN I ARRIVED THE HEATING WAS SET AT 1 HAD TO PUT UP TO NUMBER 4. BREAKFAST WAS GOOD.

Good Option for KEF Overnight Layover

The hotel does not offer a shuttle to get from the airport to the hotel so we took a taxi and probably got overcharged. The driver didn’t use his meter and claimed it was a standard flat fee of 7,000 Krona (around $50 USD) because it was the weekend and nighttime (Saturday 8:30 pm) rate to go anywhere in the local area. We asked about that at the hotel reception and they said the average cost is around 4,000 Krona but the price may go up after midnight. The receptionist recommended arranging a taxi through the hotel next time to avoid getting scammed. The shuttle option from the hotel to the airport is only available in the morning hours with the last shuttle departure at 10 AM. You need to book a seat on the shuttle using the hotel website or at the reception desk. The shuttle van we rode in only had room for seven passengers. We made a dinner reservation in advance on the hotel website and even though we arrived over an hour later than scheduled due to a flight delay and it was after 9:00 (restaurant closes at 10:00) the staff pleasantly seated us and we enjoyed a very good meal (both dessert dishes were exceptional). The breakfast buffet offered a variety of options from scrambled eggs (not very good) and bacon/sausage to cereal, yogurt, and fresh fruit. It was filling but overall pretty average. Our room was practical with comfortable beds but the pillows were too thin, and there were no extra pillows. The main room was nicely heated but the bathroom was cold.

Lots of construction around the property (Dec '24) creates a little walk to get in since they are currently using the back door. We had a room that had a bad smell, but the staff was accommodating and quickly got us re-situated into a different room that was fine. Very convenient location to the airport on the site of the old military base.

A great one nighter if you have a late night flight. Easy to get to from the airport of from the car rental places near by. Good sized rooms, clean and fresh.
