We had a room on floor 1. It was comfortable. The bed and shower/bathroom were good. It was clean. But note that this is budget accommodation with a worn headboard, old kitchen units, a bust window opener, a loose tap and a poorly secured fridge. Doubt much maintenance is done hence the cheaper price. It was in an unbeatable location, though, easy to park and just 15 minutes into downtown Helsinki. The service team were easy to contact. The cleaning team need to make sure that the lobby is hoovered. Also, the fire alarm went off on our last night. There were no detailed instructions about where to muster and guests were just hanging about in the lobby whilst one of them tried to reset the system. The next morning the system showed a fault/bleep yet no one from the maintenance team had fixed it and surely the fire alarm should be a priority. As least if all was safe we could have been emailed to say that. Limited food outlets nearby but the pizza restaurant at the Art Museum was excellent and East Gate Cafe was very good. You will find better place s to stay in Reykjavik but you'll have to pay a lot more than we did and it did suit our needs pretty well.

The view was amazing from the north (?) side. Beautiful mountains to see, as well as city view. Hotel has been renovated so everything was clean and new. Bed was very comfortable. Kitchen had everything for basic cooking. Only issue was a metal panel on the outside stairwell was loose and noisy flapping in the wind but otherwise it was a great place to stay!

Room has no temperature control. You can only open the window. A LOT of people smoke though so you’re going to smell it if you open the window. So either be hot or smell smoke. The room smelled like mildew. Easy checkin process. Right across from a grocery store

Amazing property and super friendly and efficient staff ^_^ kronan right across the road and a bonus round the corner , lovely cafe near by too and great transport links , if you dont mind a little walk its not too far from all the main sights ^_^ views are amazing too! Would highly recommend ^_^

The introductory email was confusing. The email stated our room number was the code to get into the building. But that wasn't true. The first number listed was the code to the apartment, not the building. The building code number was at the bottom of the email not stating what it was for. Also, the numbers did not have # after all the codes that needed a #. It was frustrating. The apartment was neat and clean. But I could not stay there for more than a day or so. There was no fan/ air movement. It also did not have a toaster or toaster oven. There was no way of making toast for breakfast, or having a hot snack like pizza rolls. The apartment needs a fan and a toaster oven.

I liked the room size, all 5 of us were comfortable. I did not like that the building seemed to be in the middle of renovations, and bits and pieces of the room in our second stay did not seem to be completed. Overall, however, it was good.

The apartment was clean. Water does spill onto the bathroom floor when you shower so the design could be a little better but you can always request more bath mats. The staff are very helpful and respond quickly to your emails.check in/out is very easy. If you have any issues they resolve it right away. The common areas is not well lit but the hallways to the apartments have very good lighting. They common areas do need a good deep clean but in general the apartments are ok. Close to grocery stores and ample parking.

Overall we enjoy our time in Iceland. Positives: The communication with the Iceland Comfort Apartments team was excellent. All the questions and concerns were answered immediately. Big thank you to Kamelia and Nikol…just to mention the names I got to personally communicate with. The location is convenient if you have a rental car to travel…pretty close to the highway. The acces to the building and to the room is easy…no key to worry about. The room had the minimal essentials (barroom and the kitchenette). I really appreciated the washing machine and the dryer- very convenient for travelling only with Cary-ons. Negatives: There were days when neighbours cooked fish or shellfish- the entire building smelled not very pleasant. The kitchenette lacks a few “musts”: a toaster would be good, a vine bottle opener is necessary, paper towels instead of cloth towels. The bathroom was run down - the shower had no shower head holder and when showering the whole bathroom would flood- no curtain.

Our stay at this property was the only negative experience of our Iceland vacation. Upon arrival, we noticed that one of the two rooms we booked had a hole through the wall, inadequate linens (one towel for three people), and the hallways and stairwells were dirty with debris lying around. We got moved from that room to another where the TV didn't work, again a single towel for three people, and a bathroom/shower without any door/curtain/divider so the whole bathroom would get wet during each shower. The other room had no functioning stove and also no functioning TV. The hallway had mechanical equipment and construction debris lying around yet no construction actually appeared to be happening - there were no workers anywhere onsite. We did read reviews prior to booking and none of these issues was apparent. Although it is conveniently located across from a grocery, that is the only saving grace of this property.

The place was very nice, modern, clean and we really enjoyed staying there. The only downfall is the room wasn’t ready for over an hour past check-in. Otherwise, we’d definitely stay here again.

The property was VERY convenient to downtown. There is a grocery store right across the street which was awesome. Only thing was they were doing construction because of a leak when we were there so a bit messy, but understandably so. Overall our stay was great!
