This is a lovely place to stay! The room was very clean and orderly with lots of space. My only complaint is that I made a mistake when I did the online check in and called with no answer and left a message. Called again later in the day and again no answer. Thankfully we had no problem getting into the building or our room and had a wonderful stay!

The location is pretty okay as it is downtown and near many amenities, but as mentioned in listing, it is in the noisy entertainment district right next to a bar, and the sound insulation is not great. The interior of the suites are also not the most well maintained, with heavy signs of wear. Water pressure also was not the greatest. What I found unforgivable is the sheets and pillow casings that have suspicious dirty spots on them, which makes me question the cleanliness of the place. The "automated" nature of this hotel means that there isn't anyone to address problems directly, best you can do is call a number during business hours or send texts in other times. The check-in system is also buggy, when I checked in by following the instructions correctly, the door code I received still didn't work for the lobby door even though it was working for the luggage room. This required the tech support at the text number to manually reset the code for me, which didn't go smoothly either as the lobby had poor cell reception, meaning messages are sent with significant delays. The only thing this hotel has going for it is the fact it does have most things you expect from an apartment, such as a kitchen stocked with cookware, cutlery, bowls and plates, TV and couch, table, desk, and chairs, full-sized stove and fridge, etc. Only thing that didn't seem available would be laundry machines.

The concept is great with the Staff-less hotel. The automated codes don't always work and I had to sit in the lobby for a while. I then had to help another guest that was having a similar issue . The shower accumulates water and makes a mess when the door opens and closes.

We stayed for 4 nights at the end of March. Location was excellent, easy to walk downtown to harbour, restaurants, museums and bus stop right outside. 3 bedrooms were great for the 4 of us. Easy check in and used the luggage storage. Kitchen was convenient for breakfast - we went to the No Frills in Woodside on the ferry for some groceries. Honestly, hard to find anything to complain about …. Need some hooks in the bathroom for towels and a teapot! There was noise on the Thursday evening from the night club. Would recommend staying here.

Our room was not very clean, some of the dishes in the cupboard were clearly dirty, and there were dried up orange peels on the floor behind the garbage can. It gave the feeling of not having been thoroughly cleaned prior to our arrival. We stayed there 7 nights, and even though we saw the cleaning staff, they never once checked in with us, or asked if we needed anything, even though they were cleaning rooms right beside ours. Also, there were many guests who were talking on their phones, or to each other in the hallways at all hours of the night very loudly, probably half of them were intoxicated. Zero consideration for others, and due to no staff in the hotel, there is zero consequences for these people. Very disappointed and would definitely not recommend.

I contacted both Expedia and the hotel as I had to cancel the reservation. This occurred 1/2 hour after it was made because of a death in the family. I still have not heard back from the hotel, after calling and leaving messages, even an email, as has Expedia. And then, to top things off, because I had not heard back and thought the hotel had decided not to refund me, I tried to use the suite, but could not gain entry (it’s all on computer)! I had a tech savvy person with me, to boot. This further reinforced my conclusion that they had graciously cancelled the reservation. Now I don’t know what to think. Still waiting…
