At first I was upset because they put us in a room on the lower floor that didn’t have natural light. The room itself was also poor. It was smelly, the toilet was smelly, some pillows were smelly, and the shower area would flood when bathing.
But then the receptionist help to change me to higher floor with sunlight and I’m happy.
I’m lucky, you may not be.
Amenities: Towel, toothbrush, slippers all provided. Shampoo and soap also dont lather well so my hair can still stink afterwards. And the bottles aren’t labelled so good luck guessing which is for your hair.
Location: short walk to west lake w restaurants and cafe. Going further by taxi is cheap. $1-5 to old quarter, weekend night market, water puppet theatre etc. There’s a (very) small minimart next door for water and snacks. You can collect water at first floor also. We took two tours and tour bus pick up point is just behind the hotel although you will be the earliest pick up before bus circles old quarter.
Counter staff always helpful to complaints, request to change room and book tours.
In short, a 3 star budget friendly place.
