Great floorplan for a group/family. Description is accurate as there is a large, central great room flanked by 2 good-sized bedrooms on either side. The bedrooms are larger than they appear in the pics and each has its own full ensuite bathroom. The main living space is comfortable with a long dining table that has seating for 8. There's a small smart TV and wifi is available (note: power goes out occasionally, but it's a common occurrence on Exuma & doesn't last long). There is also a half-bath in the hallway on one side of the home & full sized, modern washer and dryer in that same hall. No need to pack a lot of clothes! Kitchen had everything needed to cook meals if you wish to do so. Also provided are some pool toys/floats, snorkel gear, 2 double kayas, and 3 paddleboards (all oars present). NOT provided is beach equipment such as chairs & umbrella. You can rent those things but we ended up just using some of the beach towels/blankets from the home and laying them out under tree shade at the beach, no big deal. The area where the home is located is very peaceful and quiet, yet is less than 20 min drive into Georgetown. Close proximity to the southern beaches (Pretty Molly, Tropic of Cancer, etc). Having a pool was nice, especially since the water down at the sandy beach has some rocks and sea grasses. Pool was clean and well maintained & a skimmer is provided. The only downside is that there is a small mangrove "forest" between the pool and the beach which lends the backyard & deck to mosquitoes, especially during those hours around dawn & dusk. BUG SPRAY IS A MUST!
My absolute favorite feature was that Moriah Cay National Park's lazy river was a quick, 25 minute paddle from the home. Hop on a kayak or paddleboard, go around the cay to the right, and enter the lazy river on the left. It was AMAZING, PRISTINE beauty! SO close, and completely deserted - we had the whole lazy river to ourselves (other than some turtles and rays)! IMO this is a must-do if you are staying at this house.
Finally, I want to mention the property manager, Karin. She was super friendly and welcoming and extremely responsive to all of our questions throughout our stay. We had only one small issue with a slider not locking and someone came by to repair it in no time. She is very knowledgeable about the area and will help you with recommendations or reservations.
Overall, a great stay for the home, the surroundings, and the hospitality!
