Very good.

This was my third time at the Boarding House. Very good. Great breakfast with fruits, sandwiches and pastries. During Holidays only pastries. I was ghere 10 nights. My room was cleaned only twice.

Great location. Slightly confusing to find as there are 2 buildings on the same street that say BoardingHouse on them. Google Maps takes you to the correct one.

Larger room than expected, large bathroom, microwave with supplies for cooking. Very clean and quiet. Would definitely recommend and would certainly stay here again. Well located and close to everything you can need.

I booked this property because it said there was free parking, when I arrived they said they don't offer that anymore and charged me 10 Euros. The room was spacious and comfy, but the floors had not been cleaned, there was a maxi pad wrapper on the bathroom floor and dust bunnies around the room.

Satisfying stay, great value!

Very positive experience, nice new rooms with comfy beds with duvets, original (my guess) parquet wood floors, good breakfast with pastries, sandwiches with great rolls... A biomarkt a few blocks away, and a15 minute walk up the step hill for a great view.

The location of the Boarding House is perfect for visiting Heidelberg. It is very central and 10 minutes walk from the old town. The rooms are very clean and the staff very friendly and helpful. The rooms have small kitchens which are perfect for making tea/coffee and light meals. I recommend staying here.

Everything was good until we ran out of warm water in our room. There was a problem with the water heater in the whole building for the weekend and they couldn't solve it until Monday, but we only stayed there the weekend. Anyway, they offered us to change the room into another building or having a shower into another room and stayed at our room, we accepted the second option not to pack everything but it was not as a comfortable ecperience as we would like.

Very happy with this. Rooms looked just like the picture. Don't let the name fool you, this is very much a hotel experience. Nothing fancy, but clean and comfortable. Biggest thing I can add to the current reviews is the breakfast situation. Yes, the BoardingHouse does offer free breakfast. It consists of sandwiches (either cheese, salami, or ham), pastries, fruit, and juice. So small, but ample sustenance. Solid WiFi connection in my room (I was in the main building), but noticed a little slowing during the peak evening hours.

Good alternative to regular hotel

The lack of air conditioning or even just a fan made it necessary to leave the windows wide open all night during a mild summer's night. We appreciated the free breakfast and liked the amenities.

Great location

Great location. Friendly staff and very clean. The only complaints I had were no fan or air conditioning. If you open up the windows you hear the loud traffic from the street below which makes it virtually impossible to sleep at night. Also cleaning crew was a bit too loud in the very early morning.

Lovely Hotel!

The hotel and the staff were amazing, we arrived and there was nobody in the building, but there was a phone number we could call, we did and the staff let us know where we could check in, when we arrived to check in the staff was friendly and warm towards us and our baby. The room itself was beautiful, very clean and very welcoming, they had a crib already set for our little girl which was great! She loved it. We agreed to have they're breakfast offer at the neighboring hotel and the breakfast was great! Alot of healthy options, plus the employees at that hotel were great as well, they were very nice. Over all we had a great stay at Boarding house, if in the area we will definitely stay here again! Thank you
