Beautiful in every way!

We enjoyed the pool and 3:30 PM Bingo! We walked on the beach, and participated in the turtle talk and feeding at 10:30 AM Our family took the free resort shuttle to the Coligny shopping plaza for lunch and shopping. Our room was lovely and clean! I would highly recommend the resort!

Booked a king bed. First was put in a room with 2 queens but the AC was broken. They changed our room to one with AC but never offered to help move our stuff for the inconvenience. The new room was also 2 queens. Front desk staff was friendly but the staff in the restaraunts and bars were unfriendly. Lots of pet waste around. Barking dogs kept us awake. We are dog people so I actually enjoyed seeing the dogs all around but the waste owners didn’t clean up and the in room barking was a bit much. It wasn’t a terrible stay but just OK. I asked for late checkout in advance online and was charged $99 for that but were told we could stay until 12:00 noon and that the extra hour was free of charge since normal checkout is 11:00. It was my understanding that the $99 late checkout was to be able to leave up to 4:00PM. Either way I was charged $99 for something I don’t feel I received.

Disappointing food

The aesthetics were good but the food was shockingly not good. Wings were not cooked all the way, ordered a ruben it was cold, i figured i couldnt go wrong with a smash burger, same thing it was cold. Expectation of it being a resort was set too high. The bed and pillows were terrible.

We just had a great time there! Absolutely beautiful grounds and hotel and just a short walk to the beach. The hotel staff and management were very friendly and we had great service. Can’t wait to go back!

Our stay at Sonesta Resort in Hilton Head was very nice. The employees were very nice, friendly and helpful when we had questions. The property is beautiful. The beach for mid-September was surprisingly packed. People get up early and head out to the beach between 9-9:30. The resort has umbrellas and chairs that you can rent daily, weekly, etc. it is assigned seating so you can sit in the same spot every day. There is public access to the beach so it seems more crowded. We left Florida and traveled to HHI because the gulf coast was going to be covered by storms all week.
