USED NICOTINE POUCHES ON THE GROUND, HOLE IN THE FLOOR, DOORKNOBS FALLING OFF - FAMILIES BEWARE!I’ll start with the positives. Before booking, the owners of this listing were kind & responsive. When we needed to adjust our dates by 1 night they were flexible & accommodating. The beds at the house were neatly made & the house was warmly heated.Sadly, that’s where the positives end. Our 5-night stay did not meet our expectations. Our main concern was the safety & cleanliness in the house. If you have children, I definitely advise you to stay elsewhere. Our concerns included:- A literal hole in the floor (3 inches by 1 inch) in the main living area. You can see straight to the basement 10 feet below. Little feet beware!- Multiple used nicotine packets on the ground beside one of the beds (see photo). Think of a child finding these.- Most of the door knobs were essentially broken. I don’t think any of them locked, including bathrooms.- Beer caps on the front porch.- The front screen door is heavy & slammed VERY fast. I had real concerns for some of the children.- The fridge had expired products.- There was almost no hand soap in the house (we had to go buy some).We reached out to the hosts in detail about these issues after our stay to request a partial refund (which seemed reasonable) but they never responded. I don’t enjoy leaving negative reviews, but my family & I feel compelled to share this to help future guests understand what they’re getting into.

very convenient for us and comfortable. some issues. Wall mounted HVAC unit in back bedroom made noise. Several places in house need finish work. Trim, doors on cabinets etc. no coffee tables or lamps in bedrooms and living rooms. If you're going to be in the rental business details are the hardest part. We stayed 2 years ago for the 4th of July the space is nice and roomy for our family. This trip we came up for a funeral and had family come up from both Colorado and Oklahoma it was plenty big enough for us all. We will be back to rent this h it again!

Accommodating host, great accommodations

Our first (but we hope not the last) stay at Triple S Lodge at the Bottoms. The property is spacious, well-furnished, clean, and sits on a quiet street in Hoisington, a delightful small town (be sure to check out the metal art banners lining Main Street). And was a great jumping off point for our weekend of birding as the house and town sit at the NW entrance to Cheyenne Bottoms (and not so far from Quivira NWR). Scott was very helpful start-to-finish, in scheduling, in communicating important info before arrival, and in following up during and after our stay. All of the above made for a very comfortable and enjoyable stay for our group of four. Thanks!
