Chasing Waves, located seconds from the powdery white sandy beach of the Gulf of Mexico, minutes to downtown Holmes Beach and ½ a mile from historic Pine Avenue on Anna Maria Island.

This single family home is located WEST of Gulf Drive - no streets to cross to get to the beach! Chasing Waves is a fantastic beach retreat for any family, couple or small group of friends. This property offers two bedrooms; One king bedroom and the second bedroom with two twin beds. There are also 2 full baths: One with a walk in shower and the second bathroom off the main living area with a tub/shower combination - perfect for sandy kids after a long day at the beach. The open and generous living area features ample seating for winding down in front of the HDTV.
Take the free trolley to Bean Point, or down to historic Bridge Street. Eat at restaurants like Beach Bistro, Chateau Anna Maria, grab burger's at Skinny's, or watch the sunset at the Sandbar. Go parasailing, take a sunset cruise or paddleboard on the crystal clear blue waters in the Gulf of Mexico.

We might be only 7 miles long but Anna Maria has everything you could possibly need for your perfect
beach vacation. Traveling with a little one? All our homes come with pack & plays and highchairs. Need
more? There are several great rental places that have everything from baby gates to golfcarts, and they
will drop them right off at your vacation property for you. No need to pack beach towels we provide
those for you.
Remember we are laid back and on Island time - Flip-flops and shorts are ok for breakfast, lunch and
dinner no need to overpack you will most likely be in your cutest bathing suit or bikini anyways.
No need to pay the crazy high fees to check all those bags! With Publix, CVS and Walgreens right on the
the island you can grab any sunscreen, hair product anything needed, why haul it all with you?

Guests are allowed up to 2 dogs provided they are housebroken and must be friendly with other dogs and people. Pet must be disclosed up front at the time of inquiring/booking. A one-time non-refundable fee of $150 (per pet) will be due at the time of booking to accommodate for extra cleaning/pet sanitation. Should we receive complaints from neighbors of barking/disruption we reserve the right to ask you to remove the pet immediately. Undeclared pets will be charged $500 and you will be required to vacate the property. By booking this property you are agreeing to the terms and fees associated with bringing an approved pet. We closely monitor all properties. Pet fee is not included in the price of the rental, and must be added directly with the host after booking.

Buena la ubicación aunque si bien está a 50 metros de la playa hay no hay entrada pública y hay que dar la vuelta y son 3 cuadras, la casa es muy cómoda, y está en muy buen estado, como detalles la parrilla no tenía gas y las bandejas para el horno estaban oxidadas, el resto muy bien

It’s a little gem in a beautiful area

We were a very last minute booking due to not knowing the area, budget, individual beds for members of our family and traveling by plane. I read over reviews, looked at photos etc. Upon arrival we were pleasantly surprised how clean and well designed the cottage was as well as close proximity to beach. Andcrental company tried to meet some needs we had like an extra beach towel, extra hangers, comforter/sheets & warm throw blanket. The only letdown was pictures and rental description had mentioned a sofa bed. They ended up delivering a cot since they had removed previous sofa bed due to hurricane damage and therefore we needed a bed for our youngest daughter. Although not quite comfortable as we had hoped, they tried. Different rentals provide different things so I’m not always sure what we should expect. We would rent again if a sofa bed or extra twin bed or bunk beds were added as well as new sauté skillet pans. The current ones were badly scratched and/or burnt. When traveling by plane we can only purchase so much and also take back so much. They did work with us on a late check out for a cost since our flight wasn’t til 8:00 pm.

Great location and clean!

The Unit was very clean and ready for us. Location to sea great. The Unit itself was wonderful but missing items that would have made it perfect. Here are a few suggestions for this beautiful unit. We were there for 10 days and given each, one bath/face/hand towel. We needed to wash towels nearly every other day and were still charged 69 for a linen fee. MORE towels should have been provided. There was ONE dish towel for the week as well. No potholders were in the unit. We made several runs to Dollar Store for items that should have been there. Another item missing were drinking glasses, perhaps many were broken and not repleaced but we found ourselves washing them out daily. I think we had 3, of which 2 were plastic. There are no mirrors in the unit except for bathrooms.Perhaps an over the door mirrors could be purchased? Grab bars in the shower/tub would have been helpful. One fellow we traveled with has had a stroke and was it difficult for him getting in the shower without somehting to hang onto. The biggest complaint is where the dishwasher location.The door opens right in front of the sink so one is constantly maneuvering to put dirty dishes in. Very tight to work in that area. Not efficient planning . Also you cannot access the beach from your.You must walk to another block to get to the ocean. Looks easy till you get there. The city sent out a team to check on an easement. Bring coffee filters with you as well. We really did love our time there!!

The house was exactly as advertised. It was neat and clean. The house was well stocked. We especially enjoyed the beach chairs. Anything that we needed Beach Retreats was prompt and supplied what was requested. My family and I thoroughly enjoyed staying here for 2 weeks. We would definitely stay again. The only negative thing I thought was that this house is almost right on the beach, but you can’t access the beach there. It was some type of private property so it was hot permitted. The beach access was the street before it or after it. That would not deter me from staying again though.

The inside was clean and spacious. Walk way to beach on 77st is block and have to go on 78st for beach access. Outside need landscape and garage door was damaged previously before we arrived. They do have beach chairs. Good location for families especially with our infant. Only recommendation is the landscape for the front. They do have a gas grill we didn’t get yo use it because lots of restaurants within 10-15 min drive

Wonderful location!

This property is in a great location! Very close to the beach (less than 5 minute walk), close to restaurants and activities. The property was very clean and had what we needed. The suggestions would be to put in a full length mirror and maybe upgrade the washer and dryer as they didn’t clean very well. Otherwise everything we needed was there including nice beach chairs, umbrella, sand toys, boogie board and property manager was prompt in ordering a beach wagon when we noticed it was missing which was very kind. All kitchen dishes and utensils were plentiful!

Good location

It's a short walk to a lovely beach and you don't have to cross any big roads. It's a shame you can't just walk a few doors down to the beach path, but the homeowner at the end has blocked access. We didn't realize this when we rented, but the listing does mention it now. It's still a short walk, but we missed sunset a couple nights since 10 minute walk can make a difference when you're rushing. The property management company was very responsive when we let them know the only lamp in the bedroom was broken and the Keurig was missing. The only issue we had is that the dishwasher does not clean the dishes. I did report this once I got home, so hopefully it can be fixed or replaced. The dishes and utensils in the cabinets were noticeably dirty when we arrived. Since only one package of dishwasher detergent is provided, we waited a few days to run a load and discovered it did not clean the dishes at all. After that we hand washed everything. We don't really mind hand washing, but dirty dishes in the cabinets were pretty disgusting. We've rented many times from VRBO, and this was the first time automatic dish detergent was not provided (there was plenty of dish soap for hand washing). Maybe it's a Florida thing, but even if the dishwasher worked, enough detergent should be provided for the entire stay, since most people do not want to buy a big box for one week. Otherwise, some people will run it without detergent when they discover they are required to run it before check out. and they've already used the one packet provided. Not exactly hygienic.

Comfortable and well situated

Comfortable home, charmingly decorated in beach motif. The two different living spaces were a real plus. Beach access is not direct, but only a 5 minute walk via 77th or 79th street. Kala dropped off a beautiful blanket and hot cocoa for Christmas. Nice touch and much appreciated during the cold spell!

Adorable cottage. Great Layout. Dynamite Location

The location is the star of the show here - even with the neighbor blocking end of street access, the public access is imminently walkable and many times we could park right at access point from extra ease dropping kids and beach gear. House decor is adorable beach cottage. Unassuming from outside but layout is perfect. Two bedrooms. Two full baths. Two separate living areas meant my family of 6 fit perfectly. Big FULLY-FENCED in yard perfect for dog. Shy on linens. Zero beach gear. Nice kitchen but rudimentary cooking supplies. Eat out, rent or bring your own stuff in this regard. We stayed during Hurricane Ian and were mandatory evacuated 2 days into our vacation. We are locals so we had been watching the weather. Host was very kind to let us rebook our leftover days + additional cleaning fee.
