The RiverHouse was a lovely comfortable home. The Kitchen was well stocked. The beds were very comfortable. The home was very convenient for sightseeing. Found some great restaurants. Can highly recommend the Homosassa Distillery.

Our stay at Joan & Peter’s in January was very comfortable. We had a lovely time despite cold weather. This home has a great spot by the Homosassa River. Since it actually froze one day, we spent that day at the State Park, about 5 minutes away. It was awesome to see the fish huddled together in the spring because of the cold, and the manatees were all gathered near the park’s observation deck.The warmer day we spent on kayaks, looking at the manatees. The river was so nice.The kitchen has everything you need to cook, and we made a big pot of soup, which was perfect for warming us up. Our favorite things about the house were use of the garage (we stored our wetsuits and kayak equipment), the many balconies, proximity to the river, access to the boat ramp, the fishing dock and how reliable the owner is with questions. Plus a big soaking tub in the master bath, after we got back from a long day was so nice!!We will definitely be staying here again.

This was a beautiful place to stay and felt like home. We recommended it to everyone. The bedrooms were spacious, the kitchen had everything we needed. Wi-Fi was easily accessible, as was the boat ramp. Check-in was simple. Decor was lovely. Loved the fireplace and porches. Don’t pass this up. This was for a 4-day anniversary stay - we loved it. Homosassa House

House was nice and spacious as advertised. It was very clean upon arrival. We rented a boat slip and golf cart. Golf cart in very rough shape and was not charged when we arrived. Boat slip is across the canal so you have to go all the way around the boat landing to get to your boat, which is a pain with coolers and gear. But, would still recommend that house as it supplied for a comfortable get away. Wifi is very spotty, so be prepare!

Perfect Stay!

Joan was an amazing host and accommodating when a tropical storm disrupted our initial plans. Joan called me right away and we worked it out. We were able to reschedule and I am so glad we did. The house was the perfect size for our group and close to everything in Homasassa. We also utilized a boat slip which was super convenient for scalloping. It was clean, had everything we needed. Florida Paradise

This property exceeded our expectations. The owners go out of their way to make sure you have the best stay. They even texted me about local fireworks that would be on display that we could watch from the dock on the property. There are kayaks, fishing poles, beach chairs, a grill, bikes and a golf cart all for use while staying there. The golf cart is an extra charge but is definitely worth it! Overall i would rate this a 10 out of 10. This is a beautiful home with all of the amenities and then some. Would stay here again!

We had an amazing stay, owners were quick to answer a question I had about the golf cart, sent a text the morning after our check welcoming us therefore making it very easy to contact them when we did have that one question, the home is very well kept definitely would stay again

We absolutely loved staying at the River House! Joan was an amazing host and very informative. During your stay you should rent the golf cart if it’s available, it definitely was convenient for getting around the park.

Perfect Location

This house was exactly as the description. It was perfect for our group including our young daughter. The boat ramp and slip was ideal for busy scallop season. It was amazing to rent the golf cart for easy hauling of gear and people back and forth to the boat. The house itself was clean and very comfortable. We loved the screened in porches. We will absolutely be back!

Family friendly

The River House was the perfect spot to launch kayaks, fish from the dock, play tennis and basketball and ride bikes. The house was immaculate and the parking was easy. Our family of 7 had plenty of space.
