The Hawaiian Monarch is a secured building that includes a spacious sun deck with grilling area, pool, and hot tub steps away from Waikiki’s shopping, restaurants, nightlife and activities. Take a short stroll to Ala Moana Beach Park, Ala Moana Center, and Hawaiian Convention Center.

This partially remodeled studio offers city views and sleeps 2. This unit is located on the 19th floor. Elevators are available.

Do not stay here, spend the extra money and get a better room. Black mold in the shower, lights that don't work a sink you can barely use and a unusable microwave. Chipped paint stains on the walls and curtains and a air-conditioner filter so caked with dust it wouldn't blow cold air.

Had trouble plugging microwave into an outlet.Refrigerator was jammed into wall and baseboard so was very difficult to open and close doors.Numerous light bulbs blinking and need replacement.Was no live TV of normal cable or local broadcast channels.Was difficult using shower controller needs replacement.Bed, view, and other accessories in room were fine.Overall ok but many would not give this above a 1 star.

Delightful

I thought this room was delightful, with both decor and value, in an older hotel, given the extreme prices for the Waikiki area. It was supplied with essential kitchen items for preparing meals.

Room reeked of urine when we first arrived. Maintenance was helpful but had to wait a long time to receive a response from the property owner. Was allowed a refund on the room but was not allowed a refund for the parking.
