A lovingly restored fisherman’s home located off the old cobbled coastal road in Porta Pim, Casa Três Picos offers self catered accommodation with stunning views of the three mountains Monte Queimado, Monte da Guia and the infamous Montanha do Pico. The house has 2 bedrooms downstairs and 1 large bedroom/entertainment room upstairs. There is also a large open plan living and dining area downstairs and fully equipped kitchen. Outside there is a large courtyard, garden and bbq area.
The house was built in 1918 and was made famous on the island by featuring in the 2015 film Cinzento e Negro. It has since been turned into tourist accommodation and was newly renovated in the of 2020. Casa Três Picos is the one of a handful of houses that sits in prime positions along the oceans edge with a view that frames the three peaks of Monte Queimado, Monte da Guia and Montanha do Pico.
It is situation Rua do Castelo, which references the old fort directly outside of the house to the right. This road is also known as Pasteleiro, which was the site of the first commercial businesses for the original settlers on the island.
