I’d like to start with the positives. The pool and hot tub were great—clean, well-maintained, and heated as advertised. This was the highlight of our stay and ultimately the reason we remained at the property. Despite the issues inside, we were still able to enjoy our time together by the pool.Unfortunately, the condition of the interior upon arrival was very disappointing. The home had a strong odor and was not clean. The refrigerator contained open food containers and actual black liquid pooled in the bottom drawers, which was very concerning. The master shower had visible mold, and the floors throughout the house were sticky. Outside, the trash cans were overflowing, attracting flies and adding to the overall lack of cleanliness.Check-in was delayed due to “extra cleaning,” but the home was still not in acceptable condition when we arrived. To make the space livable before my family arrived for Easter weekend, I had to clean much of the home myself. To the owner’s credit, he was responsive—he came by to see the condition and brought someone to help address the cleaning.That said, this property would benefit greatly from a thorough professional deep cleaning, as well as replacing bedding, towels, and cookware to meet basic rental expectations. We ended up leaving a day early and were not offered any refund or accommodation.I’m sharing this feedback so future guests are aware and so the owners have the opportunity to correct these issues.
