The Commanderie is a charming cottage completely restored in 2018. Each room has its own bathroom and toilet. You will enjoy the park (listed historical monuments) Castle Grotteaux, tennis, pool, river .... And you can visit by bike the most famous castles of the Loire (including the castle of Chambord, the castle of Cheverny, the castle of Blois), take off in hot air balloon park, stroll on horseback on the banks of the Loire, fish .. .

Absolute fantastic

This is a superb getaway, perfectly situated in an idyllic setting . The owner Gael and his team are extremely friendly and cannot do enough to help you. I hope I can return some time soon.

Excellent base for exploring the Loire, first class accommodation

The gîte is the gatehouse of the chateau. The bedrooms (2 double beds) are spacious and there is a living/dining room and well equipped kitchen including dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker etc. The location is a short distance outside Blois and makes an excellent base for exploring the sights of the area. We ordered bikes from les Vélos Verts which were delivered and waiting for us. We then were able to cycle to Chambord, Cheverny, Blois and others, on small roads or dedicated cycle ways. The gîte has access to the amazing large pool. Beer and wine is stocked in the pool house, just sign and settle up later. We also took a balloon ride with Les Compagnons du Vent which was amazing, floating over Blois with Chambord visible near the landing. We stayed 10 days in August 2021. Gaël is the host and owner of the chateau. He could not have been more charming and helpful. Strongly recommended!

Ein wunderbarer Ort

Wenn man Natur und alte Gemäuer liebt, ist man hier bestens aufgehoben. Die Lage ist ein Traum: ein Torhäuschen am Rande eines englischen Landschaftsgartens, in dem man wohnt. Der Pool nur wenige Meter vom Torhäuschen entfert und ein wunderschön erhaltenes und sensibel renoviertes kleines Chateau als Perle in Mitten des Gartens. Gael ist ein liebenswürdiger Gastgeber, der mit Leidenschaft und viel Allgemeinwissen die Geschichte des Schlosses in einer Führung vermittelt. Man kann hier wirklich die Seele baumeln lassen. Das super saubere Torhäuschen bietet große Schlafzimmer und sehr hübsche Bäder. Man kann hier gut mit zwei befreundeten Paaren unterkommen. Die Küche ist ausreichend ausgestattet, der Gemeinschaftsbereich könnte bei schlechtem Wetter etwas eng werden. Bei gutem Wetter hat man die Terrasse und den Pool, um sich auszubreiten. Wir waren in den heißesten Tagen des Jahres dort - da wurde es nachts dann schon warm in den - natürlich - unklimatisierten Schlafzimmern. Ein bereitgestellter Ventilator konnte aber Erleichterung schaffen. Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen. Vielen Dank für die schönen Tage!

What a superb location. We stayed in the porters house of a magnificent castle. Everything is in the house. The pool in the castle gardens is breathtaking. And on top, the very friendly and helpfull owners. Who even gave a free tour!! Must go and visit!!!

Appartement bien équipé et au centre de la section Blois de la vallée de la Loire

Excellente literie, chambres agréables, salles de bain grandes et pratiques. Cuisine aménagée d’équipements modernes, place de travail limitée. A ne pas oublier capsules Nespresso et poudre lave-vaisselle. Salon très agréable aménagé avec goût, coin de séjour très petit. Propriétaire convivial et disponible. Vous propose un tour du château qui est inscrit monument historique. Piscine chauffée très appréciée. Nous recommandons le gîte.
