Escape to this adorable cottage built in 1965 as a fisherman's cabin in picturesque Athens with views of Lake Wheeler. Enjoy three spacious bedrooms, featuring two comfortable queen size beds and 2 double beds.. The bathroom is equipped with a full size tub, shower, double sinks and laundry area for added convenience. Whether you’re cooling off or warming up, the cottage offers both air conditioning, heating, TV's and wifi to keep you comfortable year-round. Complete with a second floor balcony, an outdoor fire pit and indoor wood burning brick fireplace. Simple things like new appliances with modern touches like full size refrigerator with ice maker and filtered water, full size stove and oven. Just like home you have a dishwasher, microwave and coffee makers. There is plenty of comfortable seating including a dining area for eight that makes this cottage easy to feel right at home. Not to mention the 3 spout beer kegorator bar on the spacious front porch. Plenty of parking for several cars and boats. Guests can unwind and relax after a day of exploring the Lake around the community or nearby Lucy's Branch Marina featuring seasonal live music food and fun.
