Room was spacious, modern and clean. Fantastic & friendly daily house keeping service by Omar in block 6.
The Maître d'hôtel, Mohammed provided excellent service to our family each time we came to eat at the restaurant. We stayed at this hotel for 2 weeks. My sister and my two nieces. Great facilities for kids by the way. Overall the pools were great, ambience of the hotel at night was nice, the beach was incredible and had a really great snorkelling spot. Food choices were good.
I felt that some of the tours & spa prices sold at the resort were expensive. My sister expressed that sometimes she felt interrupted by the staff trying to sell tours and approach her when she is trying to relax at the beach. The hotel was packed with tourists, mainly from Russia and Europe. Some occasions, I felt a little out of place as an english speaking Aussie and did not come across any other native english speaking guests during my stay. A lot of the staff spoke fluent German or Russian but struggled with english I found. I had a private driver (not related to hotel services) from Luxor to the hotel and on arrival I noticed he got out of the car and walked to the security hut. I queried it and my driver told me he had to pay the security guard 100 EGP baksheesh just to be able to enter and drop me off at reception. I felt bad so I reimbursed my driver for the baksheesh. I was not happy about this treatment upon arrival at Prima Life Makadi. disappointing.
