We discovered Hotel Indy 3 years ago and it’s our GO TO Indianapolis hotel for a quick overnight when traveling to Louisville or Nashville. You can’t beat Calvin Fletcher Coffee, Amelia’s Bakery, and Bluebeard’s restaurant. All are within an easeful 1 mile walk down Virginia in the Fountain Square area.

We got a room for New Years. We were attending an event in the Hulman and had heard good things about the Hotel. When we checked into our room at about 6:15pm, we smelled a very unpleasant odor. We turned the heat on, hoping the smell would dissipate, and went to the event. Had a great time at the New Year’s event, and retired to the room early, about 9:30. The smell had only gotten worse. We tried to locate the source to no avail. My wife and I could not even stand it to sleep, so we packed up and checked out about 10-10:30. That was quite a pricy room to only stay 4 hours, and only use it for about 60 minutes. We had hoped to have a relaxing evening, and a lazy downtown morning. When we checked out I addressed the front desk person who seemed busy and only bothered by the quick interaction. We dropped the keys and left. It looks like a nice hotel, but I cannot imagine recommending just based on the experience.

Great for Pacers Game

Our room was very clean and spacious. The bathroom had enough space for two people to move around in freely as well. Everything was stocked. We were in town for the Pacer's game, and while we didn't spend much time in the room, it was very comfortable. The staff was also very helpful with showing us the easiest way to walk to the game, which is only a block up, you can see it from valet, and lounges to go for nightlife.

Their do not have parking. Their valet parking was full from a Colts game the day we stayed. The hotel is not well sound proofed. Streat noise was quite loud in the room most of the night. Lighting in the room is very poor, though very good in the bathroom. All the people at this hotel were very nice and accommodateing.

Very enjoyable and comfortable stay

Booked at the very last minute while I got to town. Courteous staff, clean environment, room had a mid-modern century design/feel Bathroom layout very good, very clean and spacious. Look forward to go back when I will visit Indianapolis again.
