Stayed here after an appointment at the nearby Raigmore Hospital. It made a lovely change from the normal 3 hour drive home. It’s convenient and the rooms are perfect. The a la carte menu is varied and delicious and the staff are a delight. Will definitely stay again.

Beautiful old hotel in the heart of Edinburgh. Adjacent to Waverly station so super convenient for getting around the countryside. Close to most major attractions.

We stayed here on a last minute deal which made the cost about £210 a night (£150 cheaper in total than if we’d booked in advance). Good points: - comfy bed - good room size - decent availability for parking - good breakfast - staff are lovely Negatives: - water pressure was awful! Modern bathroom but water pressure was non existent - we had more at a shepherd’s hut in an off grid location! - no coffee machine in the room, just instant coffee. For a 4* hotel charging the prices they do, I’d fully expect a coffee machine - no mini bar or fridge in the room - no hairdryer (poor considering the luxury element they push for staying here) - the carpet was so slippery, I genuinely don’t know what they use on it but it was very slippy - towels felt rough and hard, not good quality - the gym is very small considering the hotel size, and dated There are definitely better value places to stay than here, I wouldn’t say it is good value for money and I would put it as average for what it is.

The hotel was lovely our room was very spacious with a comfortable bed and a working TV 😁 the bathroom was really nice the only disappointing part was the water pressure which was low I had to run around in the shower to get wet 💦 We ate at the hotel it was a reasonable price and good food we sat in the lounge for our meal but had to grab the attention of a staff member to be served as they were only paying attention to people in the dining area the leisure facilities were enjoyable and relaxing we would definitely stay again

Quick work trip.

The hotel is a fantastic place to stop when working in Inverness. My two very slight criticisms are that the climate control in the rooms is super bright and being light sensitive, i found it disrupted my sleep. For the size of the hotel and the dact they have an on site Spa, the gym could be a bit better equipped. Other than that, the hotel, food and drink were excellent.
