Newly remodeled house, set on a half acre lot in a quiet, safe neighborhood. Located within a mile of the interstate, yet still close to central downtown Iowa City. Fenced in side yard, 2car garage, all new appliances in 2023. Beautiful backyard. If you like tossing a football or baseball, the front yard is also large. Wide long driveway provides plenty of off street parking. Large enough to accommodate for most RV's. Plenty of unique, locally owned, restaurants just a few minutes away. The neighborhood is mostly middle class professionals with well behaved educated kids. Great location for a walk or run. everything you need is close by. Gas ,coffee, food, park, grocery store and more are a short drive or long walk away. We live just a few blocks away and should be able to help out quickly when you need us. Bring a refrigerator magnet from your state, town, business or whatever and add it to our refrigerator !!!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about this property and its owners. Beautiful home, beautiful neighborhood, lots of peace and quiet. Owner Karen really went all out to make sure our stay was peaceful and comfortable. I especially loved the kitchen (equipped with high-tech equipment), which opened up to the living room, creating an open and spacious place to just hang out. The fenced in backyard was perfect for our little dog, as well. I wish I had taken more pictures, as it was really lovely!It truly was our oasis in the middle of a very chaotic family reunion!

My son, daughter-in-law and 2y/o grandson were coming to Iowa City for my late wife's celebration of life. My home a/c went kaput in the midst of Iowa heat/humidity, so I needed to find someplace cool for them to stay. This property fit the "cool" description literally and figuratively...wonderful a/c and a beautiful home. Everything seemed "newish", clean and well. maintained. Large yard in a quiet neighborhood. Close to just about everything in the IC area. Responsive owner, easy check-in. Worth the price. A true 10/10

Great Spot Close to Campus

My family and I needed a place to stay for Freshman Orientation at IU and found this sweet home. We were also traveling with our young dog. It was perfect! The neighborhood was great and very walkable. The accommodations were very clean - and easy to find everything we needed. There's a fenced in side yard perfect for our dog to run around while we sat with a cup of coffee in the mornings. It was just a 7-minute drive to anything we needed to do on campus. We'll definitely be staying here again - over the next four years our son goes to school here!

Graduation weekend

We had such a great time celebrating our graduate. It was nice for all of us to be together and enjoy quality time. Everything we needed was available and having Hyvee around the corner made it so much easier. Sad that after 4years we found this place. We definitely will stay again when coming back for a visit. Forgot to mention that our fur babies especially enjoyed the enclosed fenced yard. T

Karen was a fantastic host! I booked this stay for business colleagues traveling with their infant and grandmother, and she went above and beyond to accommodate them. She graciously allowed an early check-in to align with the baby’s nap schedule, making their arrival much smoother. Karen was professional, responsive, and a pleasure to work with. Highly recommend!

Perfect Fall Weekend in IC

Our family booked a long weekend for my husband’s 50th birthday celebration. One of our daughters is a student at University of Iowa and it also happened to be their homecoming weekend. So we had plenty of activities to do in town, went to the parade and football game!! Also did an official college visit with our high school junior, she loved it!! The home was beautiful, super clean and had everything we needed!! High end finishes, gorgeous kitchen, thoughtful touches by the host such as coffee/creamer and complimentary apple cider shots. Yum! Lovely neighborhood, close by the University and plenty of shops and restaurants! Look forward to staying again in the future!!

Great Iowa City property

We stayed while visiting our niece at the University of Iowa. There were 6 of us and the house was a perfect setting for our overnight trip. Easy to get to, in a nice neighborhood and super clean home. We had everything we needed at the house. Amenities were great! It was so nice being able to all stay together vs multiple over priced hotel rooms. Highly recommend this home to anyone staying in Iowa city.

Lovely Family Home

This home was perfect for our family of four. The bedrooms were comfortable, clean, and spacious. The kitchen contained everything we needed for preparing meals. I especially appreciated the coffee and tea that was provided. The location was a nice, quiet setting and we enjoyed sitting on the deck and spotting wildlife. Communication with the host was timely and helpful. I definitely recommend this property to anyone staying in the area for any reason.

Gorgeous home

Lovely quiet retreat in Iowa City

The house was very quiet, clean, spacious, very comfortable, and the hosts were immediately responsive when we contacted them. We loved the place and would definitely stay there again. It was centrally located to all our destinations, and the HyVee was a short walk away.

This house was such a pleasant surprise!! We were in town for surgery of a family member and its convenience to the hospital was perfect. The space allowed us to come and go at the hospital and was great for me to get some work done in between. Comfortable beds and all the amenities of home.

Beautiful Home!

My sisters and I had a wonderful weekend in Iowa City and really enjoyed this home! It is beautifully renovated and very spacious and open. The home was very clean and had most everything we needed (we did need to purchase a corkscrew which we left for future guests). Overall it was very comfortable, and we would definitely recommend it. The one downside that we noticed was that the listing is for a 2+ bath home and included pictures of three bathrooms including 2 showers, but there are only 2 bathrooms in the home. This did not affect us negatively as there were only 3 of us, but if we'd all been couples staying there with a party of 6 and expecting three baths with 2 showers, I can see how it could have been very inconvenient. Otherwise, super clean, and comfortable and nicely redone. Thank you for hosting us!
