Great rooms and services.

The service at the Grill was utterly chaotic, with items delivered out of order or not at all until servers (there were several, and it was never clear whether anyone was in charge) were reminded. The food at the Grill was unremarkable at best. Service, food, and prices were much better at the bakery.

We stayed at Motel Ely for a couple of nights while on a quick sightseeing trip to Ely. Even though the motel is right on the Main thoroughfare through town, it is quiet. Ownership is friendly and always helpful. I always prefer the Mom and Pop motels and this one gets 5 stars.

It was everything we hoped it would be! The lake is beautiful and the kitchen has everything! There's much to do if you don't mind a pretty drive. It's a great escape.
