TLDR. If you’re looking for a bed and a shower you can probably find something cheaper. If you’re looking for anything more, prepare yourself for disappointment.
We booked a few nights at the Nest Hotel through an on-line booking site and upon arrival were told it would cost more. After an hour of back and forward the original price quoted was honoured. Hoping we could then begin our relaxing holiday we proceeded to our room and noticed the dank, musty smell others have commented on throughout the whole property.
The photos shown on line are the best version of this property. While the hotel has been partially refurbished the bathrooms have not been touched and feel like they’re straight out of the 1980’s and everything feels just a little bit clunky.
The pool is outdoors at the rear of the property and is nowhere near as enticing as shown on-line and on the way to it you’ll pass the shipping container that houses the laundry.
As for the breakfast at the property, it can be described as average at best and you’d be far better off heading a couple of doors down to Will Kelli’s where they have great food, amazing coffee and awesome staff.
We ended up cutting our losses after one night, forfeiting what we’d paid for the entire stay and booked into seven x seven down the road and don’t regret it for a minute.
I had a very bad experience here, the staff were rude and didn’t try help. Multiple times, I was faced with staff who didn’t try and help. The non English speaking staff were even worse, especially one man who wore glasses was particularly rude to me as a solo traveller. Just spend a bit more and book nicer hotel across the road
