Planning to spend time in Santander - Cantabrian Coast? There are a limited number of options that are within a 10 kilometres radius of Islares's heart.

Islares isn't exactly the hotel capital of Santander - Cantabrian Coast. It is, however, home to the Aisia Islares, which is located just 3-kilometre from the centre of town.

The Viviendas Vacacionales Isla Centro is situated 20 kilometres from the main part of Islares. Or, alternatively, the Parador De Limpias is situated 11 kilometres away. Two more options worth looking into include the Rusticae Torre De Ruesga and the Gran Hotel Liber & Spa.

Don't disappear without checking out what is on offer in the rest of the region. Photographers will love Cantabria's beaches, coastal plains, rivers and mountains. Alternatively, spend time at some of the region's ruins. More active visitors may try mountain biking here.

Everyone knows we Aussies just love to relax, so consider staying a little longer and check out the Caves of Altamira and Museo de la Tortura, in Santillana del Mar, 65 kilometres to the west of Islares. The Parador De Santillana De Gil B and Hotel Casa del Marqués are some of the great hotel and apartment options in Santillana del Mar. 10 kilometres to the west of Islares you may also choose to stay at Laredo, which is home to the Hotel Cortijo and Casona de la Ventilla. If you're staying in Laredo, be sure to check out the Berria Beach and Orinon Beach.

If sport gives you an adrenaline buzz, be sure to take a trip to San Mames Stadium, which is 30 kilometres to the southeast of Islares. Book accommodation near the action at the Gran Hotel Domine Bilbao or the Hotel Miro.
