This hotel is an house converted to hotel with poor workmanship. Very noisy and below basic. It is more like a poorly run bed and breakfast.

We stayed for two nights at the hotel in the central Old Town, near the Blue Mosque. The location is very convenient. The staff were friendly and kindly allowed us to store our luggage on checkout day before our flight. We loved the buffet-style breakfast—it offered a wide variety of delicious vegetables, all cooked perfectly. The only minor issues were that the coffee machine was not working during our stay, so we had tea in the mornings, and the toilet was running and making loud noises, but it was fixed the next day.

Roof top terrace breakfast

Nice breakfast on the roof terrace beautiful view and very nice staff. Very great brothers and sisters. 15 minutes walk to ayah Sofia lots of restaurants and services minutes away.

Found my heart in Istanbul

We loved our stay at Asmali! First, upon arrival we were checked in early and upgraded to a beter room then we booked. Our room was spacious, quiet even though next to the road, very clean and comfortable. We had our room cleaned daily with fresh towels. And the breakfast! What a feast. Everyday was a delicious buffet! Cooked fresh and absolutely mouth watering. A good selection of coffee, teas and juices! The rooftop is spectacular with views on the blue mosque and sea. The location is wonderful and the staff marvellous. We will book here again on our return visit. Do not hesitate to stay here.

Hello, The check in experience was mixed. The basement room I received & the photos hotel sent via Expediya wasnot the same. Plese check yourself now. Sorry for not completing the check in experience early because I was warned that an early feedback can put me in trouble. Why you Expedia guys are so lame & duff & asking early experience in a different country where I could be in a very serious trouble. Please wait till I return to UK. Absolutely nonsence.

The staff who served us were very professional and friendly, making us feel right at home. The breakfast was delicious and with several options . The hotel is centrally located for walking to many famous sites, such as the Blue Mosque is a 5-minute walk away, Hagia Sophia and the Basilica Cistern are about a 10-minute walk away, and the Grand Bazaar is about a 20-minute walk away. We would definitely stay there again.

Great staff, shame about the rooms.

What can i say ? I'll start with the positives first. The staff at the hotel are great and always there to help, quite a good location to visit the blue mosque and grand bazaar and other local tourist sites. The negatives no lifts so if you are elderly or have problems walking up the stairs stay away. I had room 303 with a broken toilet seat and a faulty flush. Beds are ok but not very comfy. Pillow cases were stained, lamp shade partially broken. There are currently road works outside the property and the entrance to the hotel is not great or safe to use. The breakfast is simple and ok. As for eating out around the hotel a few restaurants offer the same food with average 800 liras + drinks. For some reason i have pics but its not letting me upload the.

The location is excellent with a short walk to Blue Mosque and Aya Sofia. The neighbourhood is relatively quiet for Istanbul and very convenient for public transport like taxi and tram. The breakfast is served on the top floor or on the terrace which was really nice on sunny mornings as it had a great view of local attractions. The bedding and linen were basic but clean, and considering the price to be expected.

We had great service from the staff. They arranged a 4am airport taxi for us, and walked us to the taxi with an umbrella, as it was pouring rain. The area was quieter than some other parts of Istanbul, which was a welcome reprieve.

The hotel is located only about six minutes walking distance to Sultanahmet Square. It has a wonderful breakfast buffet which is included in the room rate. The variety of the offerings was pleasantly surprising and super tasty. Also you can enjoy your breakfast on the terrace with the views of Sultanahmet Mosque on one side and Bosphorus on the other. The reception personnel was very helpful with our questions. The hotel is about 10 mins walking distance to the tram line through which you can reach to Eminonu (where spice bazaar / Egyptian Bazaar is) and Sirkeci district from which one can transfer to the ferry lines. Also the hotel is about 20 mins walking distance to the Grand Bazaar. When considering the price/value proposition, proximity to the attractions, well over average breakfast offering and to die for view of the terrace make this hotel a no brainer choice for us.

I was there with my wife, personel were kindness. All main atractives of Sultanhmet were very close. It has a terrace with a beautiful view. It is a convenient and confortable place to stay in.
