Izumo's hotel scene is limited, as we only have just the one listing within 30 kilometres of Izumo.

Hiroshima is 110 kilometres from Izumo. It features a number of accommodation options such as the Miyajima Grand Hotel Arimoto and Kurayado Iroha.

For those who are in the middle of Izumo, it is 12 kilometres to the Hirata MAPLE Hotel.

Once you've gotten to know Izumo, why not visit the other great things to see and do dotted around Chugoku? Chugoku is blessed with beaches, coastal plains, mountains and rolling hills, as well as commonly visited Chugoku tourist attractions like the ruins. In this section of Japan, visitors may also enjoy snowboarding.

Kick back and spend the day discovering the Matsue Castle and Shimane Art Museum, which you'll find in Matsue, 35 kilometres to the northeast of Izumo. Should you wish to visit Matsue, be sure to check out the Matsue Excel Hotel Tokyu and Matsue New Urban Hotel Annex. 60 kilometres to the east of Izumo you may also choose to stay at Yonago, home to the Yonago Washington Hotel Plaza and Kaike Tsuruya. The Yonago Waterbirds Sanctuary and Yonago Castle Ruins are popular sites to see when you're in Yonago.
