The house was clean. The property has stairs to access the yard and this wasn't listed in the description. If it had been, then I wouldn't have selected this property. It is not for handicapped at all. My husband uses a walker. These stairs made it difficult for him .All the inside lights were on when we arrived. At bed time we tried the wall switch for the ceiling light. It didn't work. I was told to "Pull the string" So, I had to stand ON THE BED to reach a small chain that was hanging from the ceiling light. My husband and I are both seniors. He is 90 and I in my 70's. If I hadn't been able to stand on the bed then we would have had to sleep with the light on all night. What is the cost of fixing the switch or adding more chain to be easily accessible? Is it worth chancing someone getting hurt? The neighborhood was less than desirable. Many properties were in disrepair. Needless to say, we only stayed one night. It wasn't worth chancing either of our health with the stairs or the ceiling light to go back.

Had an issue checking in with the electronic entrance but was impressed by the Host’s immediate response at 11:00 p.m. Each time I had a question Candace replied immediately. I could not ask for a better hostess. Photos of inside are accurate and the place is lovely, clean and comfortable. I hope to stay there again on my next trip to Jacksonville.

The place is tiny, but worked for what I needed. The kitchen was a little tight, and the bathroom was kind of just enough room to turn around. The bed was comfy and it was easy access for me to get to my meetings in the area.Heads up to the sensitive: this house is down the hill from the street and is damp. The owners provide a dehumidifier and two window box AC units which did a pretty good job of keeping the dampness to a bearable degree, but if you're sensitive to musty (not to say moldy) smells or constant white noise just be aware.Host was amazing! They were incredibly communicative and went out of their way to be accommodating. Will stay again.

Great little spot

This place really grew on me over the course of our stay. We were a little concerned about the neighborhood at first, but it turned out to be pretty quiet and safe. The amenities were basic but just what we needed for a few days in Jacksonville. I’d recommend it if you don’t need a lot of frills, but the space is clean and the owners clearly take pride in making it cozy and welcoming.

Arrogant host & dirty house

Upon arrival I noticed the guests (man and woman) in the other side were arguing, extremely loud. The inside of the home was not properly cleaned, and even had previous renters belongings in dresser drawer. There was so much hair, false lashes and bugs under the bed. I contacted the host and asked for a refund so I could find somewhere else to stay, due to feeling unsafe and the home not being properly cleaned. The host was extremely arrogant and rude. I also contacted vrbo and they were no help naturally. After driving 6 hours, it was extremely disappointing and frustrating. I ended up renting a hotel for the week. As someone that owns a cleaning business and a rental house, I would never talk to a renter that way, and I make sure the house is actually clean. This host is the worst I’ve ever encountered. Steer clear.

Do not recommend and falsely advertised!!

Terrible location and neighborhood. The space was filled with bugs and ants, especially the bathroom. The space also smelled like someone had been chain smoking for years. Bed left my back hurting and sheets seemed questionable. Pictures are definitely not accurate to my experienced stay

Felt like home

The home was nice. Very clean and loved the setup, the decorations, especially the kitchen. Great job to the owners that maintain the home and spruced it up for guests to stay. The only negative about the place was no washer dryer setup. My recommendation for this home is to add a wooden cutting board and a blender for the cooks out there (I’m a traveling private chef).

Good for a short stay

House was clean when we arrived , area is decent, only came with one towel and washcloth so we had to buy some, no bath mat so the bathroom was constantly wet, host text back at a decent time but didn’t receive check in instructions until day of. Overall a very good stay for a short trip would book again.
