Absolutely Terrible! Roaches, Grimy, Dirty Dishes, Uncomfortable & Horrible Customer Service.

So, let's dive right into this nightmare. The entire place was COMPLETELY FILTHY! The bottom of our feet were black within 2 minutes of walking around the inside; and there was a strong odor of pet urine everywhere. The townhome wasn't messy, just grossly grimy. As soon as we opened the door, we saw live German cockroaches crawling on the ceiling and dead ones scattered about. Either way, we set up and left our puppy inside to go to dinner. However, my husband forgot his phone inside, but when we tried the door code again it didn't work. I tried contacting the manager through the app and her cell yet received no response... My husband found an unlocked window, and he literally had to crawl through it to get inside! Afterwards, he grabbed his wallet and we left the back door unlocked so we could get back in later since the electronic keypad didn't work. For sleeping, the master bed was unbelievably uncomfortable and too freak me out further; there was a ROACH under the pillow! Not to mention, the bed sinks deep in the center, and our backs were on fire in the morning. When it came time to check out, we cleaned our dishes, picked up the inside then as I was lifting the outdoor trashcan lid to dispose of our garbage a massive amount of maggots fell off the inside lid onto my feet! That moment pretty much sealed the deal for our infested Jax-beach Vrbo! There's definitely more to say but I'm limited on how many words I can write on this review.

Good but could use a little maintenance

Okay overall. Would have left a four star review if it wasn’t for the security concerns. The front door digital access was not operable. The back door was accessible so we used that during our stay. No attempt was made to repair the front lock or get us a spare key to lock the back during our stay. When we were at the property we were able to lock ourselves in no problem, but had to leave our dog and belongings inside with the back door unlocked while we were away several times. This info was shared with the owner from the beginning. The water pressure for the shower was low. Other maintenance items were minimal. Location to the beach, local restaurants, parking and spacing in the rooms was pretty good.

Great quaint quiet super clean getaway. Host was accommodating...we recently moved to Jacksonville and our closing date on our new home changed and we were able to extend our stay by 2 days. Would recommend this place!!!

Cozy home walking distance to beach

Stayed one night on our way to NC, very cozy home that had everything we needed. We walked to the beach for sunset and sunrise. Short drive to grocery stores and very close to great restaurants including The Bearded Pig (one of our favs).

Well appointed property

Our original accomodation was switched at short notice so we were placed here.Essentially its better for dog owners (clue in the name) as there was an odour of dog in the premises. Having said that the rest of the accomodation was spacious and bright with a reasonable garden at the back.One gripe was that the double bed creaked worse than a Spanish galleon. A tip would be to take up the wooden slats and place rubber tap washers underneath them an screw them down. Works a treat.Kirstins communication was 1st class and accomodated an early access by a couple of hours which was welcomed.

Was nice at one time.

The place was tired. Place was in need of a painting Couch slip cover was filthy. Small bugs on countertop but maybe that’s Florida for you. Drain in bathtub clogged with hair had to get a drain tool to remove hair. Lights in closet and laundry didn’t work showing a lack of attention to property. We liked the building and location but not the condition.

Wir wurden nicht enttäuscht, die Fotos entsprechen der Realität. Es ist ein schönes, sauberes Haus und es ist alles vorhanden was man braucht.Die Gastgeberin ist sehr hilfsbereit und bei Problemen schnell zur Stelle. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und würden jederzeit wieder kommen.
