The Villas of Amelia Island offers 350 air-conditioned accommodations, which are accessible via exterior corridors and feature safes and coffee/tea makers. Rooms open to furnished balconies. Will not return! Beware - know before you go!

Didn’t see the pool in the pictures the entire time. Unit was no where near the beach and not as advertised. It was a 10 minute walk and not what we were expecting based on these nice pictures. Unit had ants and the bed needed to be replaced. Overall not a great experience, especially with all of the added fees that were not disclosed on hotels.com. They were supposedly running a promotion for kids to eat free for breakfast and lunch on the property, but every time we asked they said it wasn’t available for one reason or another. It would have been better to not have the promotion or not mention it to us at all! The beach was very clean and peaceful. There were some very good restaurants on the island (not part of the resort). Overall, I would not recommend this resort for the above reasons. The listing should definitely be more clear about which pool is at which location and they are not all the same. Including the actual picture of the pool at the Courtside Villas.

The room was completely different than the room shown upon booking. The "villa" was outdated with brown carpet, musty smell, and both queen beds did not have fitted sheets. They were covered with flat sheets instead. The duvet inserts were not covered either and I doubt from the overall cleanliness of the room that they wash them after each guest. We had stayed in a room at the hotel in January 2023 and had a similar experience. We thought we would give the Omni another try because of the resort amenities, but the villas were just as gross.

Unfortunately, our one-bedroom villa was the connecting room to another rented villa. We heard anything and everything from the other side of the door. AIP is a beautiful place and we will be back but we won’t rent a one-bedroom villa again.

Beach wood villas was wonderful, very relaxing and across the street from the resort and beach access. Everyone on the property were so kind and helped me mane my husband’s birthday weekend extra special. We enjoyed the drinks at Oceanside and Seaglass. We had dinner at Bobd steakhouse and service was great but was not impressed with the steak. We went to the spa and also had a great experience, recommend for anyone going book a spa day as well!

The "Villas" are NOT what you think they are.

The property grounds are very nice. What you are not told when you book the room is that the hotel proper is separate from the many other properties on the ground. The Villas of Amelia Island consists of a hotel surrounded by many adjacent condo buildings. We were told the hotel "manages" the other buildings but they don't own them. So when you book the room, if it says it's a "Villa", you are NOT in the hotel... you are in one of the many other buildings on the property. Our "Villa' building had NO ice and was not very updated. The furniture in the room was pathetic, the television was ancient, and many things in the room were substandard. The room was described as "Villa, Ocean View, 2 Queens". In my opinion, you are paying for the view, which was very nice. The floor seemed dirty and the closet door was broken. We had to call to access the wifi... the directions in the room were incorrect. The room had coffee and fixings for coffee but no coffee pot so we had to call and ask for one. The mini fridge was tiny. The television was a small Westinghouse (that should tell you how dated it was) and it required 2 remotes to watch and change channels. The room was just beyond disappointing.

We loved our stay at Amelia Island so much we extended; originally a quick getaway for my husbands birthday weekend and from the check-in to drivers on the tram service everyone was in great spirits and made us feel welcome and excited to be vacationing here. We stayed at the sandcastle villas and walked right out to the stirs to the beach and were steps away from the pool; amazing sunset and sunrise! We had to be moved for the extension we requested the next night but the staff was amazing the manager recommended we check in early in the morning to get our reservation processing in the queue and Deidra was heaven sent and made the whole process seamless; beachwood villas was right across the street and the property was beautiful, peaceful, and getting to the beach was a little walk but so pleasant. If you’re thinking of booking don’t think anymore just do it you’ll have a great time!! The drinks and food and spa are all great!!

First to report, HOTELS.COM NEVER AGAIN WILL WE USE YOUR SERVICES! You’re sneaky and dirty and not about customer service st all! You boast of all the amenities and services available but you don’t say that they’re not available for all units! Then when your called on it you hand off to the location to handle and they pass back to you like good cop bad cop but both end up doing nothing.
